Fern, my white Boxer dog, is an accredited service dog under the 1992 DD act. She holds special access rights to be allowed to enter places most dogs cannot. This includes National Parks such as Chiltern Mt Piolet NP where Reedy Creek is located. Unless your dog is an accredited service animal they are not allowed to enter NP.

Chris your dads reef videos were my favourites but this has become my new favourite that was very exciting to watch. That red material and gravel is good stuff when I snipe here in Tas as soon as I start cleaning into that layer gold starts to show so can fully relate. Maybe a drift mine into bank follow it straight under farmers property 😂 it looks deep enough I gotta constantly pinch myself and remind myself the earths millions of years old it easy to always think about the short term possibilities but this is a perfect example finding that ancient river bed. Good work looking forward to follow ups maybe some highbanker action 🙏🏼

Another reason to check those bits at the end of your pan is -- depending on where you are -- that there could be a little placer diamond hanging out with the garnets. Especially if you're in cratonic lithosphere -- but even in some accreted terranes, far from the craton, there could be subduction zone diamonds, especially if you're downstream of ophiolite slabs consisting of serpentinized peridotite (slabs of oceanic upper-mantle obducted up onto the continent), or if there are any ultramafic intrusions in the area.

Hi Chris. Isn't great to find a nugget first of ! Puts you ahead of anything else you find. I agree with you. Because you're working an area broad and somewhat flat, that stream has been wandering through the area for millions of years. Therefore, there's likely more deposits other than the current stream location. Need to get out there and do some drilling.

That special moment you got you can soak it in some peroxide but keep an eye on it so it don't eat all the courts away if you wanted to stay a specimen and it'll clean it up real nice

I get the odd wee picker and I have a specie like the one in this vid. They float well. We got wet on us now so everything flooding. Time to go and look at how tge creeks run in flood and come up with some new plans.

@OBAMFSpike Hey mate I have fished directly below Chris (Vogus) and a mate of his when they were digging and panning and the trout were going nuts. The creek was quiet except that 100 meter stretch directly downstream of Chris. I wasn't having a go at him mate. We have each others phone numbers. We live close to each other and have similar sized KZbin channels. Mostly I was taking the piss out of myself for being too lazy to dig and pan for gold. 👍 In fact, I film a lot of my fishing videos in the same creeks that Chris films his.

@OBAMFSpike - I might build a website that basically just features a running gallery of all the metal garbage (including mercury) that small-scale/recreational placer miners pull _out_ of rivers. :-) I'm sure I could get people to send me pics and videos. So, yeah, you wouldn't want to go suck up the eggs of spawning fish in small streams, obviously. That's pretty easy to avoid. But then you have, for example, BC Canada -- where they allow absolutely no little in-stream hand-sluices even, in any river... because silt. Which is funny, when you consider how rivers there like the Fraser turn into absolute raging monster mud torrents every spring. :-)

Because rocks are made from pressed sand anbeven thou there larger sand still recognize its self an treats it the same rocks seem to float but its more surface in ground movement there for moveing in sands direction faster

hello from the frozen upper peninsula of michigan, u.s.a.,, that was some exciteing gold, i seen areas of soil like that before, yup they were up on a bench above a creek a little bit bigger than the one you are on by about foot size 8 bigger,, good trout fishing it was,wasnt thinking gold then,i am now, be blessed and safe... give yer dogs a big juicey steak
