Because of you I have built "The Gold Digger 9000". It'll suck the chrome off a bumper. A hand bilge pump converted to a modular dirt sucker.

Those old boys where probably getting all that good big chunky gold and didn't worry to much about some small pieces getting left plus you know you could almost always come back to clean up the rest.😊

i think in Any location anywhere in the world, they should allow Reticulating systems with zero discharge. since technically you are re-using the water, and removing only your tailings a you go, and a bucket in, is a bucket out, so just get more buckets to run material. i think it is Insane for governments to regular hobby prospectors to such an extent. as long as you can pack it in yourself, it should be allowed, and if you can carry a small battery and bulge pump with a solar panel, 2 to 5 buckets and whatever micro-sluice you can reasonably afford, you Should be legally allowed to use it.... (raws with indignation at thew effrontery of government over-reach) anyways, fantastic bodged set up ye made! haha. if it works, it works, but we want to work more efficient dont we haha.

Any idea how hard it was to find his KZbin account?! Probably not because you're close with him. Me(?!) just a guy from North Okanagan BC, Canada... I had to sift through all the dirt out there in *suggested* channels, then look through my lens to finally find the friend of yours that forever takes your banter in stride, Chris. I'm going to watch a couple of his vids and maybe mention the same thing: Be a good fella' and link him in the description anytime he's out with you. It'd be good karma for you both I think! Thanks for all of your efforts! Edit: He does link your account already. 😂

Very cool. Just curious is it possible to heat the crushed rock to melt the gold out of the rock.

as an 8yr old boy in '88 the family drove from western sydney to melbourne zoo stopping at all the spots. panned for gold in balarat, still got the flakes in its original bottle. i live in england 22yrs and pan in scotland, just over the border from me. D3 from the sun is important.

FIRST OFF!!! Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge as well as giving a fabulous in depth description of what to look for when the gold is hiding. I get all your videos here in Florida, unfortunately I have to travel 7 hours before I am in any gold bearing land. I am absolutely brand new at this, let me say that first, it seems to me that when you use your flat pan with a large pile of hard dirt dried together that without thoroughly, I would say grinding down with your hand, for lack of a better term, your gold loss would be high. Also do you design equipment at all? 😊

What about using the force of the river to constantly flow into a bin which the feeds water into your device at a constant rate? No pump, just nature and physics

I'm not sure you'll get away with a hand operated pump, because due to it having moving parts, it is a mechanical tool. The same could be argued for a yabby pump. Because of that, the law-writers are going to have a hard time distinguishing what is and what isn't a mechanical object.
