@@CoolSqueeze yep - thats how competition is - someone comes last of the ppl who participate - you can come last in a sport and still have played well - in monopoly - its just dice and card luck - theres 0 skill bar negotiation which highly depends on the person opposite as well as you, making it unreliable at best. If you get a bad run so to say - its dogshit to climb out of. Ive had family members land on go jail 3 times before passing GO in a row,- just to come out to 85% of the purple red and orange death row infront of her be bought up already and everyone like 800$ better off from the 200$ pass go she wasnt getting all game lmao. Its clapped sometimes. Best games are the 4-8 players because you dont get the sets fast and you just get very drunk and fight over 16$ here and 24$ there - and your all happy, 1-4 players you get fast sets and 550 -1100 fines for taking a nap outside a brothers ghetto

My favorite monopoly house rule is “contracts” where basically when you’re that guy who’s getting the worst luck, usually gonna be a guy who’s doomed to lose you can make a contract with the 1st or 2nd place dude where they buy a property off you to make a monopoly but in exchange you get the money AND in the contract, you yourself are immune to that monopoly. In my experience it’s a great kick that sometimes gets the 4th player back in the game and also forces the other two players to start trading and bartering. Usually the person winning gets furious though because it turns a near-guaranteed win back into a 50-50 between them and the person with a new monopoly. The goal of course is that your contract lets the business partner kill the first place person which gives you time to grab some leftover property and start developing your own monopolies.
