The difference between pre 2014 Nadal and the current Nadal is the clear loss of speed, court coverage and strength primarily because of his injuries that caused physical decline while Novak has been much more durable hence why these days Novak has a much easier time beating Nadal on hard court

Novax also gets to face irrelevant opponents every time. The white and Eastern European heritage treatment he gets every-time is crazy too. ATP likes someone who doesn’t get enough crowd support to get easy so they can see him in final. Where Rafa and Roger always got tough draws since it will make them get more money. Rafa’s only easy draw was 2017 us open, and Roger 2017 Wimbledon. Novax? All of them. He’s one lucky Eastern European heritage advantage taker.

@@gobackdjokovicgreatestliar4502 You're kidding right? Roger and Rafa are the favorites of the ATP and the public everywhere they go, it's Novak who gets booed and has to face an opposing audience when he plays against them. Western Europeans are praised all the time, meanwhile only recently Novak is starting to be respected for who he is (and still the media judge him more than others). 2015 and 2016 were the years where djokovic took the biggest part of his H2H lead against Nadal winning i think 6 or 7 times. Those were the worst years in nadal's career but he still made it through the last stages of the tournaments to face djokovic ending up easily losing to the serbian. Anyway in his worst years (2017 and half 2018) Djokovic used to lose to any player in any tournament before reaching the last stages so he could "save" his H2H against the spaniard. If he could get to play Nadal some time in that year and a half he would have probably lost quite a few times (considering that he used to lose from players like Chung, Istomin, Daniel, Paire) so even if Nadal lost so many times to Djokovic he proved that even in his worst career period he was still good enough to get till the last stages and face Djokovic. Djokovic saved his H2H record by losing to anyone else before getting to Nadal's matches instead.

He lost 10-8 failing 3 break points to serve for the match last time they meet on grass and plus Nadal was 19-0 in slams before withdrawing in the semis so who knows. On hard court, instead, I agree with you he would have had no chance against Novak but on grass things could be a Little bit closer I think.

Two legends….to those ultimately comparing the two with stats, it’s all but impossible to pick a winner. Each has 22 slams. Rafa does enjoy a 11-7 lead in grand slam matches and won their Olympic meeting on hard courts giving Rafa a 12-7 lead in their biggest career matches. Djokovic leads the head to head by 1 but anyone would rather win 12 of the 19 biggest matches against their biggest rival. I hope they play a few more times before it’s over.
