If I could afford I would probably get some of those fancy&special parts for my MTB but unfortunately my enduro is all I have and I cannot even upgrade it to 1x12 , all I have is 1x11 , 160mm RCT3 Rockshox Pike, Fox Float 150mm rear, rockshox reverb dropper post, cant even afford to bleed it because I definitely know that my Guide R 4 piston brakes from Sram needs it immediately yet i havent done that and the cheapest of all, changing brake pads and valves - cannot even do that since i broke my leg and got unemployed and now back recovered but not fully but it is complicated, mann i would love to ride on my enduro with some upgrades and a full servicing....

@uberfu Жыл бұрын
@@jamaicanturtle6313 Except how TF do you improperly use a crank? It's not like they do much of anything other than pivot around the the bottom bracket. It's not like a rider would be trying to pull the ends out and away from the bike while flying through the woods. To be fair the forlks claiming weak cranks need to provide specific context - did they slam into a huge rock at high speed or smack a tree? Did they drop a heavy moving or a refrigerator on the crank assembly? Did they hit them with a sledge hammer repeatedly until they broke? Point is check proper reviews and not just go by random comments on YT

Also we would have to assume that Neko is not really using 5Dev parts during competition and only sitting in an interview because 5Dev is using him as a paid sponsor. I mena I guess they could make top notch parts specifically for Neko while selling subpar to the masses. But then there'd be a trail of part recalls + lawuits.

I have zero experience with these parts, but I would be very surprised if the quality wouldn't be top notch. It looks great and sounds like the engineers behind them are way overqualified.

Robin Goomes, the absolute legend up & coming Kiwi Freerider, who has big potential to become the first female to compete in Rampage when that chance becomes available, given she was backflipping at Darkfest with the boys, she rides 5Dev also. It's pretty sick to see that Niko Mulaly gets right in there at the manufacturing stage with his own project. I wonder who else rides them, from what ive seen i would say that 5Dev & Cascade Components, as on Crestline bikes, now ridden by Sam Blenkinsop, definitely have the most beautiful machining..

CNC machining parts from billett like that is not really efficient from a production perspective. It makes the production cost high and the finished parts expensive.
@binshuo Жыл бұрын
Thank you. This is the comment I was looking for. It's too freaking expensive for what it offers. A crank is just a piece of rectangular cuboid. Why the heck do we need CNC machining for that. It doesn't need the same kind of tolerance as aerospace parts. Taking a step back, even among CNC machined crank, 5Dev is much more expensive than Rotor

We Canadian need a better supplier of cranks. The average store waits for multiple orders before they would even consider placing and order making the order process ridiculously long. I tried getting 5Dev and it was Im possible! I ended up contacting a friend in the UK to order and ship me a competitors crank. If possible maybe look at selling via and online distributor so international buyers can also enjoy your products. Cheers

To me the innovations have been Frame geometry, 29'er and suspension and disc brakes. Chris King is the only ultra slick stuff that has stuck around and survived the test of time, Magic Motorcycle died on the vine. Hopefully 5 Dev creates something that is a game changer.
