Thank you! I feel the same way. If you have the most elite meta units, the only PvE enemies that can threaten you are the Despair bosses. While it's sometimes fun to Doppel spam 100 Evils into oblivion in just a few turns, it does eventually get old. Using weaker characters forces me to strategize more carefully, and makes it feel like I'm really playing the game again.

It's so unusually funny to me that this Yuna, instead of resisting the att./ def. debuffs, she's low-key built to have high enough attack at critical health to knock you out even when they're applied. Essentially just flips off Mito rain, lmao.

Yyyeeep! With 150% critical stats up, it'd take _three_ Mito Rains _per_ _turn_ just to get her down to neutral. No way we can manage that! You either skip the critical health phase, or die trying! What's even worse is that critical HP buffs don't cap at 100%, so she'd have an effective DEF of 125,000 (mitigating over 41,500 points of damage per hit!) and an effective ATK of over 32,500. Combined with her defense pierce and critical hit, that kind of power is a serious threat even to top-tier meta units... assuming they take more than a few turns to KO her. I heard she _was_ an actual speed bump in the path of high-level players speedrunning this Evils, so I guess that's the highest praise you can get in this environment, ha ha.

It's not just that this wave 1 was abnormally hard, but Sayanora Storage is abnormally easy. I was really surprised at how little effort it took, even with capped characters. It's so easy, in fact, that I think I'm going to try speedrunning it (with Kuro).

@@endergirldragon Global did during the pandemic but the Jp server was up for years before global and ran by a different company. It probably wont shut down for awhile since they are making more movies and spinoffs

There are a few things that contribute to it. At the beginning I'll almost always show memoria setup along with characters. The numbers you see on the first page are their raw stats, reached through a combination of Spirit Enhancement and memoria flat stat bonuses. The only Attribute Enhancement I've ever done has been for the Void element (because I never thought there would be any capped Void characters), but I've shown restraint on Mabayu's SE to compensate. Attribute Enhancement is actually probably the easiest thing you could do to bump up their stats, as it's a lot easier to justify the expense when upgrading _everybody,_ rather than spending SE shards on capped characters who will rarely be used outside of challenge runs. I've held back on AE purely to make things harder on myself. The exact memoria I have also play a part, as I've carefully accrued them over 3+ years on JP, and have some pretty good ones. Most of the passive memos boost damage and MP gain, then we've got two active Provoke memos on our "tank", and at least three debuffs across the rest of the team, usually Mito Rain. Since MLB Mito Rain and MLB provoke actives have a five turn cooldown, having five total between them gives us 100% coverage, rotating their use as each comes off cooldown. Another excellent option is "Hiding the Real Me", which only debuffs one enemy, but gives one turn of guaranteed Skill Quicken, which can help a lot for when you need to debuff a particular enemy multiple times on the same turn. As shown in this video, team formation can also make a meaningful difference in damage output. I used to use Guardian Force, but later found that this level of caution wasn't really necessary. If you're using Hotaru to tank (as she is arguably the sturdiest capped character), Tricolor Raid is an excellent choice, also allowing you to slot in a flame and/or forest damage dealer on the side. Attribute Delta can work if you're feeling bold; just be sure your most fragile party members aren't directly aligned with the tank. Boosts on team Magia can also help, though Meguru and Mabayu are the only currently capped characters who can boost team attack on Magia. When I need to drop a big nuke on one enemy in particular, I'll often use the event memo "(EMERGENCY STREAM) 4 Star Will Be Pulled" alongside the limited "Whereabouts of the Bubbles" (non-MLB, which I got from free rolls on some memoria banner). "Magical Halloween Theater" is available in the SP shop, and can be used in tandem with these to soften up an opponent. The defense debuff is less important than the Curse, as, in addition to countering Survive, Curse increases the supereffective multiplier against the target from 1.5x to 1.8x. This is further compounded if the attacker has an Attribute-Strengthened Magia, as these deal double damage against supereffective targets _before_ the supereffective multiplier, meaning it's 3x in practice, 3.6x if they have a tier 2 or higher ailment. Among capped characters, three Attribute Strengthened Magia users exist: Maria, Chika, and Leila. The first two of them also have a temporary damage boost on their SE active. You can then stack additional buffs, such as team attack boosts , attack boosts from connect, and consecutive Magia damage bonus. Stack the damage buffs up to the ceiling and BAM, suddenly you're hitting for over 2 million on a capped character. Packing two damage-boosting actives on one character is definitely a tradeoff, but if you can use it to effectively skip a troublesome fight entirely, it can be well worth it. I wonder how our lives would be different if NA were still around. I joined NA just nine days after the server launch, and had S2 in Ranked when the servers shut down. By contrast, I joined JP during its third-year anniversary, and only just got S2 for the first time on JP during the most recent Ranked. It was so long ago now that NA refugees have been playing JP for longer than NA ever existed. It's kinda surreal when I meet new English-speaking JP players who didn't know NA ever existed, like I'm a survivor of some history-erasing calamity.

@@benetite_ Sadly, that seems very unlikely. However, the Rayshift translation patch does include a lot of story translations, and you can also watch them on the Magia Union Translations KZbin channel. I sometimes wonder in what state our community would be if the regional servers had never died, or if there had been _true_ global servers. What I do know is that those who've soldiered on after the death of their region's servers, and those who've come in blind to JP not even knowing what was lost are a tight-knit bunch, and I'm glad to count myself among them.
