Brian Christian is the author of "The Most Human Human: What Talking with Computers Teaches Us About What It Means to Be Alive". His writing has appeared in The Atlantic, Wired, The Wall Street Journal, Gizmodo, and The Guardian.

Each year Turing Test sponsors confer the title of "Most Human Computer" to the machine most successful at persuading the judges it's human. But there is another prize, bizarre and intriguing, for the real person who does best; the "Most Human Human" award.

Watched the entire thing, and am really glad I did. I literally feel richer for it. Great speaker, great content especially 45:00-1:04:30. Nice one SFI

I think the way of teaching is already is changing. May be in the near future we will face with more of the change. I think also the meaning of teaching and learning are in change too..

The self editing-auditing part of human and mechanical librarians together is worth working with. Much of the unsatisfying interaction with machines is already discontinued. The eventual mutual training of robot and automobile driving is the logical model from which practical automation for individuals should spread. I think he meant to say it is very EASY for a compter to pass the Turing Test with automatic nexting. You don't have a large body of state info.

The point Mr. Christian makes about the "everybody person" being the villain, while the single individual is the hero, makes me think suddenly about the appeal of Donald Trump and Dr. Ben Carson. Those two are clearly people. They do not speak as a collective. It does not matter if Trump or Carson tell lies. It only matters that for each, the lies are his own.

Yes - good presentation. There's just one little problem, which is that _NO_ artificial intelligence was involved at any time. None of the machines could be shown to be aware of what they were doing (much less why!) We have come a long way in fooling each other; and fooling machines, but there is still a huge gap to bridge. An interesting article here though:- www.bbc.com/news/technology-35082344
