I actually am starting to see the vision with Heat Engagers. Having such strong/useful moves tied to big white life healing tech is really clutch. I also think that, provided it doesn't then become spammable in Heat, the idea of it as a limiting factor for overuse is also really great for the visual variety at any level.

@@Tuxedosnake00 Yeah, I used to think that way, and it'd probably be the case if this was like old Tekken's, but they've done so much to flesh out the rest of your movelist that now you have a greater variety of viable options. I think they're trying to force people to learn more of what's available to them and improve the spectating experience at all levels.

A great topic i would like to see cover is when to use heat burst, heat engager and heat smash for diff scenarios. Such as: 1. Player has significant life lead 2. Player at a life deficit (with and without recoverable health) Heat engager is best applied when u have lots of grey health.

It seems like some characters like jack and king should stay and extend heat as much as possible. The threat of jag run and jack stance in heat is crazy. Then some characters heat just seems better to recover health after a big combo. You get like half your health back after a successful heat smash.

I think heat is better to hold considering the health Regen capabilities. It would make me feel bad using it in a combo when I could use it to restore some chip or hp I lost

Not just restore health, for most of the cast you get better pressure, it's a great neutral tool. I guess the debate is using it after the first half of the match or heat countering whenever your opponent uses it (I would against a Hworang or some others). Heat truly is a great feature.

@@lucastonoli3256 That is true. I kind of meant for the portion of the video where he was talking about how Japanese players like to burn theirs off rip in those neutral or trying to gain pressure. Especially closer to the beginning portions of the match. I would've thought it would be viable to hold on to it to get that health regain. I saw tmm demonstrate just how much you can get back and show that sometimes, burning it can put you in a worse situation than the person you're trying to pressure than if you had waited.

im seeing that there is a shitload of jailing strings in T8 and its gotta be my least favorite thing about T8 so far. the weirdest examples rn for me are jun's 122 jailing on block into a +5 high which is insane to have because basically her jab is +5 on block with stance transition. the weirdest part is that you can duck the third hit in the string if you eat the first to hits. so backwards and counter intuitive imo. also azu df1 4 is mid high jailing. it just doesnt make sense. why shouldnt i be allowed to duck that.

I think people are blowing heat so they can have access to these moves they want to use. This is why I think heat engagers should've been optional by holding forward or the heat button instead of forcing you to use the engager when you use the move normally

imo being in heat state have some perks especially dealing chip damage if i were fighting rn id def use chip to whittle down health and pressure opponents and once they fck up thats where i spend the whole meter and go ham on them

@@PhiDX not necessarily nerfing the moves but now you have to worry about using a move you were already so accustomed to using before (for example yoshi's death fist punish is b2,2 which is now a heat engager so it's unavoidable to use it early if Paul does a death fist)

That means you can't use that move normally until the end of the round when you want to use heat, or get rid of heat and now you can use it as frequently as you need. I think they will do it in a future patch. Like you need to keep a button pressed to activate heat like some rage drives in tekken 7. I also think forcing you in heat is stupid.

"notoriously bad" might be a stretch, but it is widely considered worse than the PS4 contriller in many aspects for fighting games. Good for you that you prefer it, but many (including myself) consider it a downgrade.
