I feel like Dyrus's farewell speech and the handing-over of the General's jacket were the top two. But then again, this is also coming from someone who has been with LoL since Season 2. So the memories and sentiments are big for me. 👏

My Top 5 underdog stories to worlds: 1. TPA won season 2 worlds. (2012) 2. Albus Nox upsets ROX Tigers and gets into quarterfinals. (2016) 3. Kabum shocks the world after taking down Alliance. (2014) 4. Pain Gaming beats CLG and FW. (2015) 5. Samsung Galaxy became the first team to beat SKT at Worlds. (2017) I'm not a fan of these teams but i love seeing upsets.
@AlexSmith-wd3wb6 жыл бұрын
Milky Goodness Even though I was really happy with SSG beating SKT, I don’t really consider that an upset. If you’re just talking about the history of the organizations, then I definitely agree with you. But at Worlds particularly this year, SSG seemed to look far better than SKT since the beginning of the Quarter-Finals.
@support_eu63976 жыл бұрын
Milky Goodness Pain gaming beat CLG and FW, not TSM lol

Also the SKT upset in MSI when everyone thought korea finally falls off and then strike back in S5
@MuddaAsian6 жыл бұрын
Alex Smith couldn't have said it any better, after SSG finally showed their true weapons during semi-finals, I knew that SKT would have the toughest time adapting to their game.
@andreviana33226 жыл бұрын
While Samsung´s victory over SKT can be considered one of the most incredible moments in LoL history,I still think that it wasn´t na underdog history,because of the way they have been playing and because of the way SKT was lacking in their play

Dyrus retirement speech was for me probably the most influential moment in League of Legends. I started playing very late in Season 2 so i didnt watch s2 worlds. My main role was top so when i actually started watching LCS i was looking for good top laners. I really loved Darien, Voyboy and such but noone stuck to me like Dyrus did. He was pretty much my idol. When Bjergsen joined TSM everyone would chant BJERGSEN!! I would always chant for Dyrus. So when his retirement speech came, I just lost it. I thought i might just stop playing the game alltogether. Dyrus was just a player who stuck to me like no other.

Im 28 now , and I started back in the days where we played dota on the wc3 client. I swaped to league late, when season 2 was about to end and im still playing league. One of the best things about League is the fact u can see the growing out of the competitive scene. When TSM played with Dyrus, i started to became a topmain, and even when i got camped like crazy in my SoloQ games, i always remembered that it doesnt matter how often u fall. It just matters how often u stand up again and keep moving forward. Dyrus retirement was one of the sadest days for TSM and we just can hope that one day a player will be able to take his seat and love the game as much as he did.
@sirsodacus40195 жыл бұрын
I don't play League nor do I know anything about the pro scene but that piece on Dyrus really made me respect the guy. Even got me to tear up a bit at the end. Props to that dude.

I always found the doubt in SKT (the final moment in the video) to be hilarious. You see, as someone who played a whole lot of Starcraft, I did not just expect SKT to win but I was incredibly surprised it did not happen earlier. Koreans are the gods of RTS. The fact that nobody expected it to transfer over to its simpler version, the MOBA, was always incredibly surprising to me.

This is an amazing video ! it was a pleasure to watch ! It might be nice to have a video about how all roles changed in times and different meta's. from tanky toplane to assasins and maybe also the different strats we've seen over the years. like the teamfight comps, but also the time we had a protect the ADC era. Hopefully there are more people as excited as me about this. I'd love to see how the support role has grown and changed since the start of league of legends ! Good job guys !
