Oh one more thing most people don't know about Slark: your corpse can gain permanent agility. If you die, and an enemy who is affected by essence shift dies within 300 radius of your corpse, you will gain permanent agility. This is a nice bonus for offlane or support Slark where you don't mind trading your life as much as a carry would.

yeah i played loads of offlane slark before so i know most of the laning matchups vs standard carries pretty well vs ursa the only levels where essence shift beats fury swipes with equal farm is 1 so having no items and rushing ring is bad. if you have like oov and 4 branches or something then lvl 1 come swining out the gates you can bully him badly get a lead and then hopefully you will be lvl 4 by the time ursa gets 3 then you might stand a chance

@@Green13Gaming yes at lvl 2+. at lvl 1 essence shift beats fury swipes (and jingu for that matter. it blows mk players brains when you just walk up to them at lvl 1 with oov and trade punches with them and win). like i said i played a lot of slark offlane for slark vs ursa you are playing to dominate at lvl 1-2 because at 3 ursa will have fury swipes 2 this naked ring rush would only work in a lane where you can hit a decent timing at like lvl 4-5 once you finish your vangaurd which makes no sense vs ursa as lvl 1-2 will determine if you will already have killed him 2x or been killed by him 2x by lvl 5

Before I quit doto years ago, Slark has been one of my offlane then transitions to carry if needed in late game. My build for him though at core was with dagger and diffusal blade, and yes he was one of my core heroes that I actively hunt with during transitional early-mid past the 8~10 min mark due to his ult ult passive that can definitely try to hunt or notify for wards/enemy visibility. Dagger was a core for me due to how dark pact has a delayed activation and a short cooldown, basically you'd activate dark pact prior to going dagger in so it'll already be a few secs in cooldown once you already blink in. Essentially, you'd dark pact > blink > pounce if enemy tries to escape to lock him > dark pact again. You'd be activating dark pact twice in a shorter duration which basically destroys squishy heroes and that's just Slark with a Dagger and no other item. Dagger is also insanely useful for jukes and escapes, due to Slark's passive you have insane high mobility that once you enter fog of war, with dagger on cool down you'd blink out. It's why shadowblade has never found a use for me with most of my Slark builds primarily because it's so easy to counter and even if you do get into fog of war, if they know your sense of direction, you'd be easily chased down. And considering his health regen and with a mana recovery/regen item, you basically have a hero who will most likely never go back to fountain to recover. Slark was one of my favorite heroes at the time, and people really never liked me playing offlane with him and using dagger due to a lot of people getting stuck on traditional builds back then. Dagger Slark has never been popular, and to this day I don't think it has.

When I started playing back in 6.75 or so, invisible offlane was somewhat popular, and heroes such as riki, clinkz and even slark with sb were really common, back when most people didn't know how to play and never had dust on em (of course this applies to pubs, pro scene was aware of such items lol)

Same thing with Slark Off, i think people don't know about the existence of Outworld Devourer 5 Why i think this is a good support 5? - Infinite Mana - Astral Prision can save a teammate (even from Legion), catch an enemy for your team to kill, Transform 2v2 situations into 2v1 -Ult. is a perfect nuke to help on important team fights or to secure a kill on the carry -Build the "Green" boots, and you will hace both infite mana and infinte health regen - Meteor Hammer, for Astral combo and destroying a tower (+ push) -Can transition into a carry + OD Shard makes the Astral even better for saving you'r team, since it allows allies to walk away while they are imprisoned I hope you can try this I love your videos ❤️

As a slark main, the main reason he’s the best carry is infinite scaling with essence shift. Same goes with other heroes with similar features, pudge, legion commander, axe and silencer (though it depends on how much intelligence is left on the enemy).

I played a lot of offlane slark back in the day of safelane trilanes. Back then you mostly just needed to survive as the offlaner, so slark was great at just soaking XP until you reach 6. Then once you are 6 slark is great at taking up space on the map. He's kind of like bristle where he's just really fucking annoying but you need to rotate multiple heroes over to deal with him and even then he's likely to get away.

Just tried it, it worked surprisingly well. Completely shat on the safelane Antimage and Oracle. After Vanguard, Echo/Harpoon, then later Aghs, I felt I had plenty of health to be confident during teamfights, unlike with the usual carry build. Jumping in as an initiator as Slark felt great.

The most illegal build depends on your rank In Herald to Crusader it is Sniper Support: Points into attack range to harass the lane or points in shrapnel to get vision around trees and disrupt junglers Build Mana Boots into Guardian Greaves, having been buying most or all wards up to this point and occasionally a Tome to give to your carry Once you complete the Greaves it should be mid-game or sooner so you can make the choice to double down on the build with Assault Cuirass or Aeon Disk, or you can transition into a rat with a Shadow Blade. I personally think this is a fantastic build that is fun to play: it gives the carry tons of room to farm, it confuses the enemy about who to tunnel, and you can provide cover fire whenever they attack your carry without risking. However, if you play this build you will be reported, cussed at, your team will abandon or throw the game, etc.
