I think a way to get people into Squad 44 is making Squad 44 and Squad part of the same UI and server browser. If that cant be achieved for whatever reason, an alternative is creating an OWI launcher that makes you select Squad or Squad 44 (and other OWI games). This will get it into people's heads that these two games are both Squad which will make them more open to trying it out.

Horrible how? It’s a lot more intense than other games that’s for sure, and that’s the point. The closer they hit, the more uncoordinated (ads shake), and frozen you become (reduced stamina), as well as the “tunnel vision” (corners of the screen blacking out). It’s the only game I’ve seen which properly adresses the issue with lmgs in other games (commented on by every single experts/veterans react video, this includes squad and hll), where they aren’t nearly as effective as in real live due to suppression not having enough effect. Edit: It is successful in that If you are behind a position and a lmg is firing upon you, there’s no fucking way you’ll be able to pop your head up and shoot him

As I wrote in another thread, I'm one of the original backers for both games and I'll give you the actual reasons as to why 'Post Scripum' failed. First, they removed the ability to constantly jog and by doing so they killed the pace of the game and turned it into a drudge. As if that wasn't bad enough, some 'genius' then comes up with the idea that they should also add an insane weapon sway penalty to that too. You'd run to an attack point and your gun is literally useless when you arrive there, much to the delight of the enemy team camped in waiting for you. The final straw for me was the idiotic ticket restrictions. It resulted in many maps never being completed and the experienced players looking at the ticket count during a round, realising they never had a enough tickets left to win the round, so they just left the server to find a new round starting somewhere else. Hell Let Loose, who were watching these events unfold, avoided doing likewise and so, after a few hundred hours of gameplay, we all left 'Post Scriptum' never to return. The "Muh Realism" fanboys got the game they constantly whined at the devs for, though, but killed the game in the process. The original version of 'Post Scriptum' was far superior to 'Hell Let Loose', it's just a shame that the devs listened to a minority of 'Discord' whiners instead of creating a game we all could enjoy. You can show all the fun action scenes from the game you want, but it won't remove the fact that the game is an absolute grind to play, due to the reasons I've already mentioned.

Post Scriptum has had a special place in my heart for many years. It has certainly been one of the most immersive and theatric shooters I have ever played. If you manage to get a good team, working together with good communication, I believe the experience is unmatched. It's a shame it was managed so poorly, and has never received the recognition it truly deserves. To be honest, I haven't played it since it became known as "Squad 44"...but the update is currently downloading.

I like this better than Squad because I prefer the more simple weapons and exchanges where not everyone is a sniper with a scoped autoloader. It's a lot easier to avoid friendly fire also with fairly clear demarcation between uniforms. I play logistics most the time, but branch out slowly.

Last update dropped performance, but they patch it quickly. It usually happens every update but always comes with a quick fix last devs left lots of spaghetti code I suffered from the frame drops last day or so.

You can't say it's still spaghetti code from the old devs after 8 months when they release a broken update after 'fixing' all of those aspects. I'm tired of shills saying they're doing a good job when before their recent update they added 100 average players and 100 more peak players than 7 months of no devs. They blow and the game sucks, OWI are not good devs just look at Squad. MA are part time front men and hyped up the pacific that's the only reason this update has traction and many are disappointed they hinted at it and will have to wait 6+ months more. There was 1 server NA at nights, the game for years had 2 minimum even without devs.

Depending on the map and objective you may have to blow up bunkers, barricades, weapon stockpiles, 88 guns and more before it unlocks physical capture points

As a HLL player, I am just about ready to try Squad 44. The only thing that's putting me off is the player count compared to HLL. I know this doesn't mean anything in terms of which is "better", but how hard is it to find a populated server in your area? At the time of writing this, there are 601 players, which is only like 9 full HLL servers. This game is 50vs50 right? So that's like 6 full servers?

To be honest, the only thing keeping me from playing this game more is the inexplicable bug where I can not speak in VOIP. My setup works everywhere but this game and it's annoying since I can't warn my squad mates about enemies even if I detected them before they saw us.

Tank gameplay is just need polishing and gameplay is good but it need ICO... infantry movement is a bit weird and unatural. Overal is good but most of tank crew cant see anything because camera position is in crew brain not on the eyes... People will buy it after OWI fix those problem
