I will engage in doing the stretches my PT prescribed for me first thing in the morning. At least the ones I can do laying down. The others I will try to do before lunch. Thank you for your informative lectures. My brain health issue is chronic severe depression and anxiety with a lot of nausea, gut pain and brain fog.

I am scheduled for a neuropsychologist in a month. PTSD, depression and anxiety effect engagement. You are motivating. Thank you.

I agree, education has saved my a**! Your understanding of your trade is clear by how simply you explain. I started with Andrew Huberman 4 years ago. He is still at it but his Monday videos are 2+ hours. So I'm happy to add another teacher to my morning study time 😘 and I can get a lesson in less time. Thank you.

I am still a great planner and list maker but after certain congenital health issues and frequent traumas in my life my ability to get the executive function to engage is waning. Intellectually I know what things I would react favorably toward but the energy to actually feel anything anymore is minimal. You are such a wonderful person to do these videos for us. What a gift! And you didn't even try to sell us anything! I'm grateful.

A Special Request: Dr. S. I Love love love your KZbin lectures and have been a fan for over 3 years!! However, at times your enthusiasm (ie rapid speed!) as you’re speaking makes a lecture topic especially hard to absorb. An occasional ‘pauses’ would help exponentially as it seems as if there are no periods!? Hopefully you can understand how challenging it can be for some of us to follow. None the less, Dr. Sullivan, YOU ROCK! Thank you so so much.

Spot on lecture for me. I've been having this issue since I retired last year. I have taken Vyvanse for many years due to ADHD and it was very helpful but my doctor is hesitant to have me take it outside the age recommendations (I am 70). I was afraid I had become too dependent. I am going to work on ways I can start engaging more. Thank you for this great information!

I am wondering if you have ever seen someone with Guillain Barre or Miller Fisher? I had it in 2013. I enjoy your videos very much and find brain health and all that's related to the brain so interesting! Thank you for this channel.

Curious if there is any data on whether “social butterflies” maintain better brain health than solitary people?
@icareforyourbrainwithdr.su7103
@icareforyourbrainwithdr.su7103 Жыл бұрын
Yes, absolutely! The data is more focused on the effects of social isolation and suggests the main thing we should avoid for a healthy brain is feeling lonely.

Personally those of us that are introverts or highly sensitive people can’t handle the “social butterfly “ scenario. So I think it all depends on the individual person. I thrive with limited people contact.

This was so helpful, thank you. My mom had Alzheimer's and I'm afraid I will secumb to it too. I was diagnosed with combination ADHD at 57 (I'm sixty) and take a low amount of Adderall each day. Any higher of a dose makes me anxious. I'd like to know if there is a way to recognize my forgetfulness/distraction as just a symptom of my ADHD or if something is truly wrong with my brain. The pandemic seems to have created a lot of brain fog that still exists this day. (I take hormones so that's all good.) Thank you!
