I don't normally comment but ever since I watched some of your color theory videos I've loved your content a lot! The information is super clear, concise, and organized and I really appreciate how much effort it takes to create such polished videos. The Marco Bucci channel has become my number 1 spot for absorbing information to implement into my own art and I'm glad to be a part of this community of likeminded art students ranging anywhere from beginner to professional.

So that inbetrween at 7:56 Personally, I would have left the arm up and made that inbetween look as close to the previous frame as possible I've discovered through my own work that it looks even snappier and more effective when you don't show the arm transitioning down. Let it hit that pose and overshoot the pose before returning in to make it look like a spring. When a spring releases you don't even see a blur sometimes. This is kinda like that.

So find the major key frames then find the keys within those frames, etc till you’re smooth

Any tips for improving draftsmanship for animation specifically? I love the design that goes into your sketches. Seems like you stay loose and rough, but still thoughtful with your use of shapes

It was always the inbetweens that stumped me - using the lightbox (TVPaint) to see the before and after lines takes getting used to!

I enjoy your videos! Your in-between struck me as exhibiting what a whip does when one begins the downstroke: the wind-up energy continues traveling backward until it reaches the very end of the whip (character fists in this case), triggering the follow-through motion.

Marco, do you think you'd consider doing an episode on crowd scenes, or just a video talking generally about painting scenes where many people are present but not necessarily the focal point? It's always frustrating trying to do scenes and struggling to get the right balance of detail for less important characters in the background of something bigger in the foreground

More animation would be fantastic! My ultimate goal is to make my own, as I'm learning more how to draw. If it's within your scope, I'd also like to see videos touching on the shape language and composition, and the decisions you might have to make.

Thanks! I have many videos on shape design already! Check my ‘10 Minutes To Better Painting’ episodes for lots of that, as well as I believe episode 2, which goes over some composition stuff.

Really cool! I think personally I liked the 1st result, but i do like the little head tilt on the 2nd version you did. I think to add the icing on the cake, the animation could've used maybe 2-4 more drawings at the end to really settle into that outstretched hand pose :) Nice job!
