Oh yeah, I forgot to show but it also defends perfectly against the MRLS And you can also use generators to power the other SAM Sites when the main SAM Site has a target, because generators have an option to "force start" and "force stop"

You can possibly make better by using no ammo output from the sams to turn the turrets back on. In case someone baits all of the sammo and parks a mini next to the sam to keep the turrets off (If people catch on to it ofc).

this is the kind of electrical content we need, I have been looking for more in depth videos like this one, I have some pretty impressive circuits myself and would love to ask. How would you go about building a waste energy charging system for battery backups on a large scale? there would have to be one output for base energy mains/backup that links to the base circuit also. I have a functioning circuit but its very messy and often hits depth limit, I am wondering how you would go about solving this.

So if I get it right, let's say there's for example 2 large batteries, and what you are saying is if one battery wastes all his energy, the other will kick in?

so you basically use 1 sam site to track any heli that passes but when the sam sites are engaged, the auto turrets get turned off to let the power flow to the sam sites. This is useful but if you have that many SAMS and Turrets you should already have 2 windmills or even more. The circuit is awesome and very creative so you have thumbs up!

So essentially, everything is in standby mode until needed then it turns on and turns off when completed. That way you aren't using loads of power keeping everything turned on all the time.
@gloverelaxis
@gloverelaxis Жыл бұрын
This is a great idea. A summary for people who already know electricity basics: you keep just a single SAM site online to detect aerial targets, and use its "has target" output to route power to your other SAM sites at the expense of your turrets (or anything else which doesn't need to be running during an aerial attack). The more SAM sites you have, the more power this saves. Careful, though, because if that single "lookout' SAM is destroyed, all of your SAMs become useless. Explanation for others: There are 4 separate tricks here: 1. In a similar way to how AND/OR gates are the only way to programmatically change which INPUT power source you want to take from, memory cells are the only component that let you programmatically switch which OUTPUT to send an arbitrary amount of power to. 2. To get JUST the behaviour of trick (1) without the "memory" functionality -- meaning, to make the memcell switch outputs back to default again the moment your "switch the output" signal goes off -- you just take your "switch the output" signal (which should be being routed into the memcell's "set" input), split that with a branch/splitter, invert the duplicate signal with a blocker, and plug that inverted signal into the "reset" input of the memcell. So now "set" is being triggered when "switch the output" turns on, and "reset" is being triggered when "switch the output" turns off. 3. You generally don't need your turrets AND your SAM sites to be powered at the exact same time, because players usually won't attack on the ground at the same time as a heli or MRLS attack. 4. Because your SAM sites generally have the same view of the sky, you only need to power a single (very power-expensive) SAM site to get pretty much the same coverage for heli/MLRS detection as if had them all powered.

valid idea but im not sure it would b very useful. i think that since sam sites are expensive, people want to use them as efficiently as possible to like cover range around the base looking for helis, so each sam site needs to constantly be on so it can look for helis since each sam site sees a different area. So while this design is good as it saves power, i feel like its better in most cases to just have them all on and monitoring. However I would like to see how this plays against MLRS, since when ur defending against mlrs its more about firepower than range. Maybe the animation/delay for turning on would be too long to make it useful (tbh i forgot how bad the delay is). Most likely i think that since most people use sams for both helis and mlrs, its probably still better to have them on all the time. idk tho this could have potential. efficiency improvements are probably possible too.

I still prefer the infinite power loop. This is just for very small budget.
@Gabe-cobalt
@Gabe-cobalt 2 жыл бұрын
Oh ahahahaha! That thing is completely useless, I watched some videos about that and they even made it wrong. The correct way of doing that is to have a memory cell so when the solar panel doesn't make enough electricity, the memory cell changes state to recharge the battery with the remaining solar panel power (The wrong way is ignoring the remaining solar power). For example, MisterFlak did a video about that and it has right now 222K views and he clearly didn't know what he was doing because he even did it worst than the wrong way, he put a splitter (instead of a branch) to divide the power to the battery and the power consumers (Ex: Turret), which makes no sense. The correct way, that has a memory cell, is also not worth doing, I tested using some math, a wind turbine, and a medium battery and the overall efficiency just adds 5%! You see? 5 God Dam %. This happens because the components to make this "infinite power loop" waste Rust Watts from the power supply. Some other details: The smaller your power supply is, the less % efficiency you will have. The bigger your power supply is, the more % efficiency you will have. On overall, it's not worth doing this system and efficiency is negligible
@MisterFlak
@MisterFlak 2 жыл бұрын
@@Gabe-cobalt the circuit mentioned definitely wasn't made to be efficient. it was more a working theory of how to power with a battery at night and solar panel in the day. The real best way to have "unlimited power" is multiple windmills and large batteries due to their cheapness.

The idea is very good but the integration is bad. I congratulate you for the contribution since it is the solution to a very common supply problem. The only thing I don't like is that when the SAMs are on, the auto turrets are off. This is a security problem and they leave you a minicopter in an area like the one you have put in the video. But otherwise, it's genius. Allow me to copy you and name you on my electricity channel in Spanish. Thank you for your fabulous contribution and greetings.

I love electricity in this game, but it is criminally under used. I wish the wipe cycles were slightly longer, I'd love a good biweekly server.

?? rustoria US and EU are top tier biweekly servers...
@zachwithnok
@zachwithnok 2 жыл бұрын
@@aindriu5671 Yes, they obviously exist, there just aren't very many of them so your options are limited. The community, server rates, population, group size, wipe day, etc are all very limited. I'm fairly certain that biweekly servers are less than 5% of activitly listed servers.

I saw your video when it was first released and could not find it after so I made my own circuit. It uses less components and in my opinion is a bit simpler to make and understand. I thought you might be interested in the design but idk how to send the image since it does not allow sending links and your discord server invitations are invalid.
