I played 200 hours in this game before anyone said that you press shift to steasy your scope. I thought it was just for ion sights. My gameplay has not changed and I still miss most of my shots at range but at least now I don’t feel like a donut.

@@winkiiiie If you limpdick everything, youve got no muscle holding you in place. You utilize bone structure where you can, but you still have to input force to steady yourself. It doesnt matter what you do if you dont use strength to maintain posture and carrying the rifle. In close quarters with a standard rifle, Not one of those super light weight ultra compensated tuned sport ARs but just a standard run of the mil AR15 you need to actually put some force into your lead hand grip and have good posture to ensure follow up shots are in the same zone as the first shot. If you limpdick that shit like youre going for an 800 meter shot with a bipod and a buttstock rest bag, your rounds are going to be all over the place. Different times and places to use a different amount of force. You stationary with a well situated rifle and on target for a long distance shot? Relax and squeeze. Self defense in CQC? You best be gripping that rifle tight so you dont send stray rounds past your target, through the wall and into your neighbors puppy. Thanks for showing you only sip capri suns while firing 3 rounds and calling it a good range day.

I am honestly affraid that the best optimization that we can get with mil-sim tactical shooters is if devs DO NOT use the unreal engine, and uhhhh switching to another engine from the ground up is probably only something that the dev of Road to Vostok can pull off, all by himself but hey, a team of who knows how many folks probably would see such as a thing as uhhhh, impossible... The thing with sway increasing over time is them trying to simulate your arms getting tired. Maybe that should be only when standing, while crouched and prone offer different levels of increasing stability, simulating you getting into a stable shooting stance.

When bullets are flying over you your vision doesn't go blur, I've never been in a real combat, but I've experience bullets flying over me in rifle range while changing shooting targets. I've also experience blufor and opfor training. I understand the full adrenaline and fatigue from a lot of running while carrying heavy ass gear but never once I sway my gun like I'm a retard who doesn't know how to hold a gun. I was quivering a lot and made it difficult to aim sure but never sway my gun once. Shit you and I know when you start swaying your gun while close to your buddies, your ass is in trouble.

type of weapon and it's configuration matters! - any bullpup rifle will be more stable when standing as compared to an AK - with SL kit you probably had a foregrip, which increases the stability - a 7.62 weapon is going to be way more unstable than a 5.56 weapon, but you do more damage with 7.62 -Also, I think play style also matters.. I figured out that I don't do well in factions with bullpup rifles i.e. China, Australia and British.

When you hold down shift I think the intention of the devs is that you are esentialy "holding your breath" and the extra sway and dezoom is just you recovering from holding your breath. That may not be exactly right but if you hold shift while aiming for too long you get extra sway for a little bit. And as you said in the video you get less sway in crouched and prone, prone is best.

So looking at the sway comparison, it looks to me that the original sway system was based of a system the would essentially count frames and move the the crosshair in a direction for x amount of frames. So the reason higher frames held tighter groups is because this pattern was done faster. When designing the game I reckon they tested at 30fps or within that envelope to ensure it worked for players with lower end hardware, thus it fell through the cracks because why would more frames break something so simple. Which, hey, when you've got so many things to program these things happen.

honestly, scopes just are so bad now for CQB that i have learned how to fight long range, 100-200m, with red dot pretty well. The x3 or 4 scopes have so much sway and silly challenge that i really only use em if its a huge open map, talil, or I am using a kit like some grenadiers that force u to use a long range scope.

I even talked to support and they couldn’t do shit because their game is so badly optimized. It has micro stutter on every map even with my nasa pc. I have awesome fps but it stutters either way. Its rendering the game unplayable because it also happens in firefights and i die to it often. And yes it doesn’t matter what settings i use high or low it is the same. I have no problems with other games on my pc just squad.

My biggest issue with the new combat update was the just neutering AR and MG's. Before they where really just if you were in the right position you would be able to do alot of work for your squad and side. As in real warfare you where the real bread and butter to eliminate the enemy squad Now days even prone and bipod, full stamina bullets just go all over the fucking place and people will just be able to return fire easily and suppress you instead. MG's are accurate, not a shotgun

I mean like when did they make it so most games they only get like 2 logis and they are usually tracked logis now? I didnt play for a while but started again in like May and realized that there was less habs and then I realized that we only had 2 tracked logis and a heli on the US army and no one was driving them or they would drive them and leave them at the hab more frequently because no one wanted to drive the more slow and annoying to drive logi back to main.

also at the end when you talk about the weapons feeling different than others. I play the game too much and i have noticed this. The AK-12s ADS time is so fast when your chilling with full stam. Its like instant ADS compared to other guns. The EF88 is my favorite bc its hip fire is so much more accurate than any other gun. PRE ICO the British Susat was THEE worst sight in the game, now it has the clearest sight picture with crazy zoom... but yet the Turkish scopes look like a pixelly mess... Other issues I have noticed from playing the game too much: Even with low ping, you shoot/pre fire rounds into someones face after you both come around the corner and they somehow get a round off on you after your done shooting.. Doesnt feel right Mortars and high caliber weapons have your screen blurry for a solid 10 seconds after they are done shooting... Ridiculous Your character has the inability to raise his weapon a little higher over sandbags/murderholes/natural cover like rocks and walls, and just ends up shooting the cover your behind. People teamswitching throughout the game and digging radios in the backline.. The lack of planning before rounds especially on invasion... 3 minutes for defenders to rush across the map and have 30 seconds to prepare for contact. And my biggest issue is the general gunplay. I am the designated SAW gunner in my squad in reality. In the prone position, when going full auto with a M249 or 240B without the bipod, you can keep putting consistent rounds downrange. Now in Squad on the other hand, go prone with FULL STAM with ANY automatic weapon in the game and your looking at the Sun and the clouds.(when your injured and ADSing in the prone position ((you got shot in the leg)) your man has the shivers and cant hit anything 10+ meters in front of him) Overexaggerated Game
