basically the same day i rejoin foxhole after a 2 year break from when the last regiment i was in collapsed, slorgs puts out a vid and i get work of an airborne update and i even come right back to a community arguing about a controversial infantry update. my timing seems to be perfect. but yes, no game actually matches the feel of being part of an entire operation like foxhole. it genuinely might be one of the most ambitious games ever made and every tactical shooter fan needs to try it

Solution: Do you want to play this game like A. Squad, or B. Battlefield. Pick one. And then Players got divided into squad playstyle or BF-playstyle servers.

Great Video !!! The only game in the world anywhere close to FOXHOLE is EVE and its not even the same Genre LOL .... one of the most in depth games ever made in my opinion. also keep your eye out for ANVIL EMPIRES coming soon made by the same dev team as foxhole !!!

We play an insane game, with an insane level of organization The wardens have a resource agency that governs all of the resource allocation at war start. We also have multiple levels of inter-regimental command. Not to mention the logistics union, the building think tank, the press corps (which is cross faction). There is also a naval think tank where the deployment of the wardens naval assets is discussed. Haven’t even mentioned colonial stuff, and I’ve skipped over such regiments as HCNS which builds almost all of the warden ships pumping out hundreds of large ships per war. All of which I am privileged to get to participate in at a high level as the leader of a mid sized clan in one of the largest coalitions on the warden size. I spend roughly 20 hours playing this game or organizing things, I spend probably half of that in meetings consulting with my officers and coordinating the efforts of my regiment.

If you are new, and someone called Aleduir (forgot how to spell exactly, its been a while) starts screaming at you, don't be afraid its just his normal talking voice, he's a bit agitated but he gets the job done and is a good leader to follow. Just watch out for GROM, careful not to talk to him for too long, he a nice person, but you'll see. Also don't stand on the roads, you will get run over.

With my 2000 hours of experience in multiple aspects of the game I can say with some certainty that the game is not *incredibly* hard to learn, at least logistics is really simple if you don’t do the entire loop and only do basIc stuff and ofc combat is quite straightforward (apart from the view that got me to start with) but oh my gosh, facilities is something so painful and time consuming that it is literally a second job to people, then there is engineering which to be honest (facilities falls into this too) you NEED someone to teach you, the Engi learning curve is super steep
@soomshiКүн бұрын
Foxhole difficulty really depends on what you plan to do, from simple frontline infantry, to commander of operations or tank platoons, engineer/builder, there are tons of gameplay roles and meta to try out!

Is it true that clans ruin the game? I heard there is a lot of toxicity in the game so I'm kinda on the fence on whether or not to get it :/
@brumach527Күн бұрын
Nope, most clans (regiments) are super chill and the bullshit is usually reserved for high ranking officers figuring out stuff between clans that won't be relevant for people with less than a 1000 hours in the game. The community is super welcoming, ask for help and people will help. The only thing to watch out for is trying not to waste resources like tanks and trucks by yourself without knowing what you are doing, this will get you called out, someone made the stuff and you gotta respect the team effort.

My first experience was being shelled in the Moors, I spawned in a town base and spent five minutes trying to open my inventory. I found voice chat and told the guys I was new and they helped walk me through the basics. There were about 5-8 of us and once we were geared we rushed out of the base, about half of us were killed instantly by a shell and we found cover in a trench. Some guy with a machine gun down the line was screaming for ammo, and somebody ran to get him some, only to be shot leaving the trench. My initial group was almost dead, just me and one other guy who has survived by a miracle. A fresh group arrived in a truck and yelled at us to push, we went over the top and got mowed down, 20 of us killed in an instant. I respawned and spent 45 minutes trying to capture one trench line, only to lose it right after. 10/10 would get PTSD again. Edit: I’m still very new, I joined war 117 and only know how to be cannon fodder. I tried logi but my truck caravan was ambushed, so I have yet to be truly useful, you’re just a cog in the machine.

@Caecilius_IucundusКүн бұрын
It's not realistic though. That's definitionally the incorrect word to use. The feeling of scale is there, and very good, but that's not the same thing as realism. Players manifest mobile cranes into existence using metal in their pocket when standing next to a particular building. The best strategy for large naval vessels for a long time was to ram the enemy ship like a pirate boarding party with anti-material rifles. Players store the most valuable tanks and cannons onto facility cranes, storing the heaviest equipment for weeks hoisted in the air. In fact, the people who make suggestions to the devs with realism in mind often have some of the silliest ideas about what would make the game better. Because the game is not about realism.
@anathardayaldarКүн бұрын
Like my fellow IQ200 colleagues, I demand realism in my shooters. With attributes like: - If I jump over an exploding grenade, it should help me jump higher. - I can sprint while carrying hundreds of pounds of equipment without getting tired. - A drink or a piece of tape will cure a mortal wound good as new. - Until I find that health kit, I can be reduced to 1% health and still funciton with full effectiveness. - Friends and enemies have HUD icons clearly depcting them, which are visible even through fog and forest... in the 1800s. Did I forget any?
