Well said! I recently had an engagement shoot with a friend of mine. Going into it, I was very relaxed and not really excited about it. But as I was packing up, I thought about my wife and I's engagement shoot years ago and how important it was to us and how much time we spent picking locations, outfits, etc., then I had a fresh perspective and tried to be really intentional during my session with this couple.

You’re so amazingly good at telling stories that I nearly cry every time you talk about how you made a special moment happen for a couple. The Diet Coke, the champagne and plastic cups. I can’t even imagine what they feel when they see the footage from those moments.

Oh wow, I was not expecting to feel emotional while watching this video because I thought this is just another informational sort of tutorial video about photography but yup, I got emotional. And it's not only because of your story leading to Ben and his wife and the diet coke, but I felt you, Eric. I felt your sincerity in your craft. I haven't even finished the video but I subbed and liked right away! Sucks that I just knew about your channel but hey, I am just grateful I came across your video, made my day extra special. Followed you on IG as well! Thank you for all the things that you do, Eric! All the best, Brother!

Hi Eric, I started my photography business last year. I shoot products, food and drink mainly. My skillset was/is still not good enough (I'm always my harshest critic) but the single thing that keeps me in the business is - people skills. The way you can relate to your clients, to understand what is that they need you for and how to make the shoot (pre and post) more enjoyable and stress-free for them.

I just did photos for a adoption shower and I had a similar battle of the mind, went from 'what will they think of my pictures'- to - 'what would they want to remember about this day that I can capture' Took the pressure off and made me look at it differently. Great video.

Eric this is 100% correct! The more you learn to serve others (your clients) and not yourself the more you will actually receive purpose and joy. Knowing your why will help develop your what, and that will increase your ability to figure out your how. I am in the midst of cleaning my room/office and watching some of my favorite wedding photographers on KZbin to pump me up for my 4th wedding tomorrow I saw the title of your video show up in my notifications and was immediately intrigued. I love the story you told at the end about Ben and Emily. I have photographed a photographers wedding and I'm sure it could be daunting lol. This is what it's about! Love this video and why I take photos. Thank you for this video! And shoutout WRKSHP 2016!

intentionality is definitely part of the recipe to fulfillment. in whatever industry you're in. most industries (no matter how passionate they may seem) still comes down to hard work. it's all very repeatable by other individuals. it's the little things that will make you stand out and add to the level of fulfillment you feel at the end of the day.

Really good reminder. Thanks for constantly remind me that serving our couples is the most important part of the process. Making them feel safe and making them embrace and stay focus on the moments is so so important. We don’t just shoot what we want but we create heirloom pieces that our couples can look back like a film. I have been faithfully following what you have taught and applied it through my current batch of couples. It really breakthrough and really had good feedback and shock factors like Polaroids after a wedding, asking questions that matters to the couple and family, providing an extra miles (I take a few photos along my video shoot with my couples and immediately shared with them the following day) All that really impressed them.. 🙏🙏 I can’t wait for your course on the end of the year!❤️
