Thanks so much for the extra video with the knees down explanation! Makes so much sense, I've been trying to use that que for back health and tap down room but the logic behind it has eluded me. Thanks Aram!

Can we think about it this way also? There are 3 points of contact with the boat: seat, foot rest, and hands on oars. By keeping the knees down we lock the foot rest and seat together; this makes us more stable in the boat and the boat more stable.

This is not what I meant, but what you write does make a lot of sense. Great point!

It can think help to about pushing the backside towards the bow after the hands have moved away. That can trigger the pelvis rock.

Hey Aram great video, I was wondering what you thought of the dutch olympic team over the past olympiad and olympics, they were easily the best team across the board across every category. How does a team make so many athletes so good?

Hello Aram! Could you please make a video on how to avoid forearm pain when sculling at high intensity? It has been a problem for me and prevents me from applying all my power in regattas. Thanks Aram!

I’ve been curious as to what your bio rower athletes do when they attend an indoor race, how do they transition to the concept2 erg?
@AramTrainingАй бұрын
Good point. They do well on linear ergs. Technique wise, it is a down grade. So you can essentially row like a monkey on a linear erg, and this is always easy. The other way around, namely uprading from the linear erg style to true rowing technique and still performing is quite a step up, though rewarding.

@@AramTraining i believe it! Imagine an indoor race with all biorowers, wow! That would get rid of all the cross fit rowers…

Great idea. It will make things seriously challenging for everyone. No more dumb pulling
