My brother studied languages at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in California. The pace of study was intense. Students had to master the language course in 36-64 weeks. Psychologically it was very difficult, but fortunately he was helped by Yuriy Ivantsiv's book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages”. The book " Polyglot Notes" became a desk book for my brother, because it has answers to all the problems that any student of a foreign language has to face. Thanks to the author of the channel for this interesting video! Good luck to everyone who studies a foreign language and wants to realize their full potential!

I love the way she explains German. It's a flexible method. She never skips the technical part, at the contary, it's mostly technical, but does it not in the old fashion way. Examples are simple and make your mind clear.

Anja, I am from India and I started becoming interested in german language just out of curiosity and I have been trying to learn as much as I can for the past two years. Your videos are so effective, the special emphasis on tone, zB the way you say “schnell” in the video actually makes me remember the meaning of the word very well thereby improving vocabulary. Thank you for the time and effort you put into your videos. Please continue the great work, will hopefully enroll as a student of yours very soon

This video makes me so happy. I understand the verb positions and have always had ‚trouble‘ placing the ‚rest‘. Now it appears I have little to worry about as there’s so many ways to say the same thing hahaha so here I am thinking I’m making mistakes when I’m probably just saying something in a different way. Lol

Hello Anja. I usually don't leave comment on KZbin channels, but for you I will make the exception. I am an American, living in Germany, to with my daughter and have found it difficult to really grasp the German language. I have downloaded tons of apps on my phone/tablet, watch many KZbin videos about German language learning, etc and while all of them have helped my in their own ways, your channel and videos have helped me the most! Your ability to explain the language (especially when compared to English) have helped me tremendously. It is too bad (for me at least) that you are abroad teaching, as I would enjoy taking any class that you taught here. You are an incredible teacher (and this is coming from someone who teaches English to children here in Germany) and your students are very lucky to have you as their teacher. While I have had a few good teachers here, the most are very dry with their teaching and do not bring the fun and excitement into the lessons as you do. Keep up the great work!

@Frank Lin That is awesome, especially because they mostly have different origins! (if they were all neo-latin, for example, it would still be awesome, but I'd say less difficult). So may I ask how did you get fluent in all of those? Did you take courses, online courses, self taught? Do you have any tips/strategies to best learn a language? I've just started learning German and could really use some of those! :)

Hello Anja, is everything ok with you? I've been watching your videos since last year. You are an excellent teacher. Regards from Brazil. So, I have a little question. When you put "Seine Tochter" in position 1, does it modify the sense of the sentence, doesn't?
@frankk22316 жыл бұрын
The sense is not changed, only the emphasis. In English you could say " It's his daughter that Max drives to school ( not his son)".
