The MOST IMPORTANT thing you can do to your lawn this Fall
In my opinion core aeration and over seeding is the most important thing you do in a cool season lawn all year. This is especially true with cool season turf thats grown in a hot climate. I personally aerate and seed my yard every year...I have to yet to miss a year and as long as i stay healthy I will not miss a year of doing this.

Doing my overseeding in 2 weeks! Fescue in the backyard. Spraying tenacity this week. Aerating next week. Seeding and covering in quality top soil

After I overseeded l used 9-0-1 green start and humic 12 next year definitely buying some cool blue grass seed cuz I live in the North

Mic works...and the GCI TTF is hands down the best grass seed I've ever used. Much much better than the big box store big brands. Went ahead and seeded a section of crown grass that I removed and it came in after 3 days. 10 days later, it's really filled in. Amazing!! Definitely worth the money! Can't wait to do an aeration and overseed of my yard.

Man oh man that test plot looks great Pete. You can barely tell you've left it alone this year. Mother nature hasn't done us any favors in NC. I can see how you're taxed with all the work you put in at the shop. I don't blame you for wanting to hold off till next year on the test plot at home. Itching to get my fall renovation started mid September with your TTTF.

Like you I will be overseeding late Sept here in Maryland usually still mowing up till about Christmas when I use winterizer.
