Bill and Diane are talented curators of an amazing, eclectic collection of historical art and antiques. The pristine condition and thoughtful display of their collection is evidence of the love and passion they have for the history of the items. The natural curiosity they obviously have for our shared cultural and natural history shines in not only the items themselves but in the stories Bill and Diane share. I hope some colleges/ interested persons can record some of these stories as well as photograph some of this fine collection to share with future generations. Thank you for posting, thank you Bill and Diane for sharing with us!

I am so excited to see a super collector's antique home on display! I agree that the variety of things people collect makes this community so interesting. The first thing being the classic Penguin hot-cold keeper was priceless!--but the other things they collect were a lot of real antiques and cool things we only really see in long-term collectors' homes nowadays

Wow! These folks are some serious collectors of very old antiques. Their style is more in my wheelhouse, although their collection is spectacular and much more extensive than mine. Many of those items don't even come up for sale anymore, and younger collectors don't even know they exist. Loved seeing their home!

One of my favourite videos Laura, inspiring me to put more of my mold collection on display. I have a small collection (in comparison to Bill and Diane) of wooden hand carved Japanese sweet molds. I also collect beautiful carved ink stones (suzuri) from Japan and China and antique hand forged Japanese woodworking tools. I visited the amazing Carpentry Tools Museum in Kobe which educated me on the uses of the tools I own. For over 30 years I have collected brooches which I am pleased to see are finally becoming fashionable again.
