you are a kind and generous person letting the trd tag along. i've done it a few times. nice video. you might consider the relentless fab high clearance rear bumper. you will be amazed at the rear end clearance.

I’m seriously looking into a rear bumper as my next move. Needs to be able to hold a spare though. I’ll look into that one

its good to see Lilly so happy and having fun. The color in the trees is awesome .my 21 zr2 has 2-inch lift above the factory lift and 33s so it was good to see exactly what his could do. jake needs to put in a front locker or a winch,did he put a 2 inch lift on his zr2 or are you talking the factory 2 inch lift..
@OrrinLewis Жыл бұрын
Lily loves it! And when I said a 2in lift for Weston…that was referring to the factory lift. So 2in total. So yours has 4in total; is what it sounds like. Jakes Tacoma has no lift at all and 31in tires.
@jeffreyjohnston6843 Жыл бұрын
yea mine is 4 inch total and if he does a extra 2 inch lift like I did, warn him that when I did it , it felt like the cv s would bind when I turn hard and then I ended up with a ripped cv boot. I replaced the cv boots with peak heavy-duty boots, then one of those got a hole in it so then I bought the chevy performance ball spline half shafts and they are great. the steering really feels more free then it did from the factory. but be aware they cost 5300 for the set .

@@jeffreyjohnston6843 Good to know! I have seen those half shafts and thought about it but they were too expensive to justify. I keep going back and forth on another 2" but I would rather spend the money to regear right now.
@jeffreyjohnston6843 Жыл бұрын
yep its a bit expensive but that extra 2 inches made a big difference on looks and also ground clearance. I have 33s on it and won't go bigger on tires because at that size I have plenty of power and I don't want to regear, and I pull a 3200 LB off road trailer with no problem.@@WestonsWanderings

Did I hear him say he had the gas pedal to the floor at one obstacle? That doesn't seem right, my ZR2 would be spinning the tires. Great video!!

Thanks for the support! And yea it is true…the elevation and incline can really have an effect. He’s also on 33s with stick gearing and a lot of weight in the bed

Was the Tacoma using MTS when it got stuck on the rock section? It didn't seem to be engaged completely if it was on.
@OrrinLewis Жыл бұрын
I know there were some moments when the system was engaged but others where it wasn’t on that spot.
