ankh shield takes like 20 minutes usually for me, and its just one of the many steps for the colossus soul, which is one of the 5 steps for the Soul of dimensions, which is one of the 5 (9 if DLC on) items for the Soul of Eternity, so yea, it's pretty insane.

@@UmbraMG explain to me how the ankh shield takes you twenty minutes to make. It requires 9 items that have a 1/100 or 1/50 drop chance from different enemies, some of which are harder to obtain than others considering the spawn rate of some enemies. It also requires items from pre hardmode as well. When do you usually make it? Because I might be able to understand if it’s something you make in endgame but if you try to get the ankh shield when it’s intended (mid hardmode-post plantera), then there’s no way it should take you only 20 minutes to craft

@@tyleraguallo9527 the mod where enemies drop tokens, farm some tokens from a blood moon and you easily have 200+ hardmode tokens, each ankh shield item takes about 20 tokens, except for bezoar, which I usually find trying to find queen bee.

If I remember right, more than half of the soul of eternity powers are just the effects of the items used to craft it, so it's basically the whole mod's code + the calamity/thorium/etc code copy pasted into one giant item (I absolutely don't want to read the code of this abomination)

Not quite, it also maps up the effectiveness of some of the abilities as well. I know for a fact that the damage bonuses are quite a bit higher than what the soul of the universe provides. 30% up to 50%, or something like that. So it has to track those separately.

Honestly, if you just stay away from the various Fargo's mods you should be fine. Calamity and Thorium have crafting trees closer to vanilla, and with Magic Storage you really don't have to worry about storage space after a certain point.

I have a friend that legitimately got the soul of eternity, which is genuinely terrifying.

yeah cuz it actually isn't super hard to get most of these crazy steps come from the enchantment accessories which are each made out of an armor set + like 3 other weapons. the thing is, fargo's souls adds bosses called champions which drop 3 random enchantments from specific categories every time you kill them which saves countless hours of time the rest of the ridiculous crafting steps come from the souls which require around 10-15 different accessories and weapons to craft each. these are what actually takes the longest to acquire, though fortunately fargo's souls adds some very useful qol features that reduce the grinding time for each of them from like 4 hours to 30 minutes.

I crefted it on my super modded world which apart from the dlc mods also had dbz terraria a extreamly broken mod back then for reference one of the items was ssjg and made you deal 400% damege and 400% more speed that plus the soul plus more random things in other mods pused my speed above the 32 integer limit and lopped back in the negatives for a split second intil i completly went of the map and couldn't move at

love the idea of this item, it's made to prevent people from "maxing" out. So that you will always have something to try to achieve. It's never meant to actually be built, but as a far fetched dream, so you don't run out of things to do.

And if you do it with the dlc recipe, well then you dont have the luxury of the mini bosses iirc so it would take a very long time, even just one of the mods would vastly increase the grind

The DLC mod actually adds 4 other souls used for the Soul of The Universe, possibly making the DLC crafting steps over quadruple the amount from the normal mod.

Last year I lined up the entire crafting tree (Thorium & calamity included) in a google doc. It was a whole 52 pages long and took at least 2 weeks of wiki hunting. Probably outdated now due to mods updating over time though.

I have only ever obtained the Soul of Eternity 3 times in any big long-lasting run but that was before the explosion of items needed, such as the Etherium crystal event items and all of the Masomode etc items.

It also makes you immune to 77 debuffs(If calamity is installed, if not then it makes you immune to only 67 debuffs), so yeah, fun!

How to summerize anything in fargo's souls mod: i don't even know whats happening

To be honest, if you have IMK sushis mod, the crafting mod ( i forgot name, it tells you how to craft and where its from), and alchemist NPC mod, crafting AND beating Fargos mod takes ~40 hours. 20 is fighting and making homes, 20 is farming for the enchantments and essence. Its best to make as many enchantments before entering hardmode, and getting the essence of berserker, slinger, mage, and summoner is not as hard as you think, as long you get the items as progression wise

I'm so glad that Fargo's 1.4 version of the mod has a checkbox list that let's you manually turn off most of the bullshit. It's really helpful for keeping my computer from catching fire.

I made all 4 souls and i have calamity and thorium and in total it tooke like 10 hours AT MAX . That was like yesterday lmao. I am surpriced that you uploaded this as i was talking to my friend about how insane it is. My poor 4gb ram pc was running on 1 fps and i was in a normal playthrought so making this soul wasn't so bad. I crafted Half enchantments and the rest from champions and the other souls just came in from all the items i made in my playthrought so it wasn't SO bad. The final pink soul took me at least 4 hours. Eternity pumkings and so many stuff and the items kept despawning for sime reason and that was painful lol

You first need to finish all of calamity including bossrush to make it, so its only 10 hours if you have already finished the whole game including all bosses

The funny thing is crafting the full soul of eternity also needs the 64bit tmodloader. The regular one runs out of memory of you try to load all the mods required for the full soul of eternity.

I managed to craft the soul of eternity with the dlc mod before, I was using calamity and thorium, but not SOA. And that took me like 3 weeks worth of playing to get, and the character playtime is about 66 hours
