This was not that helpful, considering I already made a custom onion farm. But there are some problems with the farm. One, it is too slow to produce a large mass of crates. And two, 60% of the onions that come from the top layer fall onto the grass and slow down the crate-making process by 40%. To fix this, you could fill in the patches and Extend the farm a couple layers higher.

Sadly u do need it otherwise the onions become oily

So when I placed down my first food totem, it doesn’t work I used a another one didn’t work still a different one doesn’t work. ;-; then how am I supposed to make a wheat, onion, carrots, and more, I don’t know how to make it work

Remeber that totem harvest onions, carrot and more. It doesn't plant it for you. 😊

@@myszkinowa636 It plants them for you. The thing is, you need conveyers attached to the totem to keep replanting the seeds. Let me tell you how it works. First, you place seeds AROUND the totem in a 3 block radius (idk if it can be larger) Then, you wait until the seeds finish growing. The totem will then farm the crops, and with every crop it collects, it gets 1 seed to replant. The thing is, once the totem is full (6 slots only), it can't get any more seeds, so it can't plant more. That's why you need a conveyer belt to take away the crops so that it can infinitely place.
