Fun fact, every every run will eventually end at some point because of how fast the rent grows! Of course with like flower builds that may be so far itll crash the computer before ending, but no matter what, somewhere far, far away, you'll never be able to pay. The rent grows at a rate of 500coins/payment (so 50c/turn) starting at 1000c so the total coins you need up to a rent payment is about 250p² + 1000p where p is your rent payment (who said calculus wasn't useful). Now, because the degree is 2, at some point it would be more than (10p)5^19 (which I think is the highest you can get; 19 suns + a flower each turn, which gives 10 turns * 5^19 coins each payemnt) eventually because it's linear. So, we know that a linear (and so the flower, card shark, etc) strategy won't work forever. So our only choice is to use the symbols that gain value as the game goes on (like geologist, pirate, etc). That would make our total coin equation into ½gt² + st, where g is how much we're increasing our payout each turn, s is the "standard" amount we get (the base gold value for symbols). So, to be able to win forever st becomes so comparatively small to 250p it doesn't matter, and we need ½g >= 50. But the most gold we'd be able to add is 100g/t with 10 eldritch creatures and 10 symbols they eat. So that's it, right? We have ½g >= 50, so we should be able to keep up forever. Well, yes, but getting 10 symbols/t for the creatures to eat is just a little bit unsustanable. So, in conclusion, you'll always lose, no matter what you do. But I also don't know how any buffs would factor into that, so I suppose it could be possible if you get lucky forever. Something else, though, is that if you somehow do get 10 symbols a turn for the creatures to eat, you'd always be outrunning the current rent payment forever (by ~st gold), so the game would never end, but youd only lose once you reach infinitly many rent payments. Isn't that so cool!

The ship idea would probably have to be rare or very rare for it to be balanced. The second idea seems super situational as now you’re getting rid of all the good ores and leaving the bad ones, though it would have some synergy with the X Ray item.

@@alexstewart9592 even then you’d have to rely on another rare to take the small ores, and also ores very rarely give rare or above ores. Especially since there’s no permanent ore spawning item (the best you’ll get is mine or big ore) I doubt you’ll ever be flooded with rare ores. The best strategy for Geologist already is just to feed it with Oysters which spawn pearls and no other gems.

Maybe a "pirate's hoard" that functions like the fishbowl. That way you "lose" worth for each gem added since it would only give you one per, instead of the roll value of up to 6 on diamonds, but you also get that passive income and more board room

Someone show the devs this video as a bug report, because when a symbol has been removed, then another one takes its place and is interacted with by another symbol (for example, when an eldritch eats a hex next to a pirate, then a midas creates a coin in the same spot as a hex and the pirate destroys the coin) the first symbol destroyed shows up at first then is replaced by the proper symbol, and it looks janky as heck.

was just gonna suggest this to you. i got pirate and king midas within a couple spins of each other, for level 6. it was insane when i added a 2nd, then 3rd midas, i deleted just about everything except those 4 and 2 eldritch creatures i just kept adding hexes to. look forward to watching this vid and seeing how crazy yours gets...

By making 1000 over the course of 10 spins, you can net the difference between the current and next payment, meaning if you make 1000 over the next ten spins you net the difference to the next payment. A stable indefinite duration only requires 100 gold per spin. If you make 150 per spin you are set to gain forever. You just have to get a few high spins before the rent increase stabilizes.

So... since rent goes up 500 each time to become truly endless your pirate will need to get 500 stacks each rent cycle 9i haven't played the game myself and everyone clicks too fast so idk what the cycle length is. I think it's 20?) so you would need roughly 25 coins per turn which could either be done with almost a full board of midas' and 1 to 2 pirates (let's say 17 midas' for 17 coins, 2 pirates for double eats, and 1 coin slot for them to spawn in, you could get 34 coins per turn which would make it endless, but it requires very specific positioning which you can guarantee and that gives you a change of having the board flooded) you could also do it the other way around and have only 2-3 coins per round being eaten by a full board of pirates (though you would need telescope to make all the pirates adjacent) idk the best mix, probably somewhere around half and half with telescope. regardless with some luck roles this does have the potential to go on forever.

why did you even take the bartenders in the first place? pirate eats beer but they have a chance to spawn 2 other symbols that you have to remove with this build. taking keys or magic keys with pirate also hurts the build due to the pirate not being able to eat them, going hex of midas with pirate would also work well but you wouldn't be able to use eldrich creature, eldrich would probably be better anyway

Some information that might be useful for you, especially with these multi-day runs. Look through this reddit post, it shows you where you can find the save file for your game. www.reddit.com/r/LuckBeALandlord/comments/mpbvtz/indepth_game_file_editing_guide/ If you are worried about loosing runs, you should be able to make a backup of runs by copying the LBAL.save file somewhere else so that, even if you hit new game, it wouldn't be lost.
