If you are someone that reads the descriptions in my videos, you would know that Ive come to really like this type of Blackbox mission design in AC Mirage as something new and fun to play with, with a great balance of story/cinematics and gameplay, even though it does not offer as much variability and replayability as Unity, or even AC Syndicate for that matter. As such Ive come with the only contrast in the game. Thr Treasurers Assassination mission.
I honestly loathe this mission. It is NOT a blackbox mission, even by this games standards. There is no way that you can play this mission differently. You have a checklist of things that you need to go through and it doesnt matter how and when you tackle them, but you must do them, which feels incredibly linear but without that cinematic feel that the older games had, with Ezio or even Arno in some of the missions. As such I detest the fact that I cannot enjoy 1 out of the 5 big levels in this game, which is already a low number, but given its a budget title I can understand. I hope that Ubisoft Bourdeux keeps making such games as the community and I greatly appreciate their work, but this type of mission design and idea should not pass on the board of "Blackbox Missions" the next time around.
