Thankfully you can buy very affordable middle eastern dupes of at least half of them. Especially Delina and BR540 - tonnes of them smelling pretty much the same for $20-40. Can't go wrong

Hahaah! If I could have intercepted the fragrance choice, I'd have nudged her towards the original Agent Provocateur in the tactile opaque pink balloon-shaped bottle. It smells like urine and pot pourri. Now that's a super niche kind of granny you'd be channelling; turbo charged granny roaring through the penultimate lap in life. Definitely a rare but epic blind buy fail on my part. Chic, put-together granny would be L'Heure Bleue by Guerlain, Caleche by Hermes and Coriandre by Jean Couturier. I've never tried Vanille Antique but if it's anything like my beloved, long-discontinued Bijou Romantique by Etat Libre d'Orange then I'll be instantly in love. Thanks for leaving your comment! Yay !!! Amazing theme. Nefs has been on my radar thanks to you for so long, but I live in Hawaii and it would never be cold enough. I am considering just blasting the AC to create a Nefs friendly bubble 😂😂. I would say the ones that I consider match this theme in my collection are Pikovaya Dama Xerjoff, Jubilation XXV Amouage , Celine Parade and Guidance 46 which I’m so glad I gave a try as a guy🙌🏽. I adore Hibiscus Mahajad and I'm so not a rose girl. So I agree it is worth a try even if you really don't like rose! And to me it is very different from Delina (which I despise, sorry lol), so even Delina haters might love Hibiscus Mahajad! I mention this because people often say that they are alike.

It’s strange how you can spell a perfume and pick out certain things about it and then after a while you smell it again and you get something else from it! One day I smelled Hibiscus Mahabad and all of a sudden my brain said, “my God it reminds me of a modern version of Calvin Klein Escape which I use to rock in the 90s…Lol. This is why I love perfumes so much!!

I loved this! I'm demanding when it comes to performance and so many of the things I own and love I'd be unlikely to repurchase-- I'm like you in that most of what I own is hideously expensive. It's absolutely crushing as I LOOOOOOVE what I own and sometimes I'm just happy to remove the caps and inhale happily then toddle out of the room uplifted, I won't even have sprayed them, just sniffed the glory. But when you get to a serious price point, dude, ya gotta perform. I'm not golf clapping someone who made a nice smell in a lab. Well good for you but you're not getting my 250 quid buddy-- I want an olfactory accessory not some gauzy misty haze to enjoy fleetingly, sorry. So, for example 'Heritage' by Fragrance du Bois is my husband's hot weather fragrance but wahey that's quite a price tag to smell EXACTLY like a bar of soap so the poor fella will have to see what I come up with next as a replacement. Same goes for Carolina Herrera Confidential's scrumptious, enveloping, elegant winter season masterpiece Gold Myrrh Absolute. And Memoize's plush, sumptuous rose-centric 'Superbia'-- both of those just do NOT last. I won't touch upon Fort & Manle as my rant is eternal, like the creepy ticking clock at grandma's house in the country that just goes forever...😆 I love you Rasei you're genius but please please sort the technical stuff out because your price tags are no joke either. I'm looking forward to checking back on your comment section in the months to come, just to see what other people have to say on the topic of loving something passionately that just doesn't perform and thus, is not worth the high price of repurchasing. I find your cool viewers refreshingly blunt, well informed and funny. Like attracts like... 🍿

@@maalikfazal1406 Hibiscus Mahajád. I feel that it comes off a little overpowering at first, but the sweet hibiscus note blossoms through later on. D.E drapes a powdery blanket of vanilla on top and drowns out H.M's overwhelming opening :)

I also think that Hibiscus Mahajad is beautiful and grabs lots of attention. However, there is something in its composition that gives me headache and makes me feel nauseated; the same happens with Patchouli Magnetik . I am glad I tolerate Tuberose Astrale and Iris Malikhan.

Okay Anne, let me ask you this, how close to BR540 is Cloud, or Club De Nuit Untold?? Because I have looked at the BR540 notes again and again. There absolutely NOTHING in those notes that should produce the fragrance that you, and everyone else describe. If anything, it should be a thick woody, resinous, balsamic fragrance that should be worn with a flannel shirt and an axe.

haha right?? I haven't tried Club de Nuit Untold, but Cloud is a good alternative to BR540. Not a dupe, but about 80% similar I'd say. To compare, Cloud has got a creamy character from the whipped cream and coconut, and it's also got a pinch of lavender. 🤍
