I never realized it either to be honest, it continues to surprise me around every corner. It's been a pretty special place to discover.

@@laura-bronner for you personally, besides weather, is it just as nice to live there than Merida..?
@laura-bronner3 жыл бұрын
haha besides weather is a tough one to leave out - the climates couldn't be more different. I love it here - it's definitely different to Merida. It doesn't quite have the history that Merida has, but it does have mountains. If you want to hike and mountain bike and swim in the ocean or do any other sort of water sports, Baja California Sur wins out. If you want to explore historical ruins and cenotes and go to museums, Yucatan wins out.

We just spent an amazing week in Los Cabos! We didn't get to Cabo Pulmo, but I have to call out @Eternal Expat because we used their videos as our guide. We stayed in a nice little Airbnb in San Jose near the beach, visited Los Barriles (gorgeous!), Fox Canyon (steep tail for my 70 year old mother, but we made it and it was wonderful!), the art walk in San Jose, Cabo (speaks for itself) and Todos Santos (Lovely!). And we ate at several of their recommended spots including Pacifico Mariscos Paseo Centenario in Cabo where the Ceviche is as good as described! Thanks Eternal Expat!

While the Pacific-facing waters at Land's End are too rough for swimming, the bay side can offer excellent snorkeling and diving when conditions are good. Pelican Rock is a great snorkel spot in the protected Cabo San Lucas Marine Preserve.

Hi! I will be attempting to work remotely from Cabo Pulmo for 2 months. The house has WiFi, but I’m curious what the cell service is like there? My phone plan said to expect 4G to support Zoom calls, but I’d like to be sure :) looking forward to it!

Do you need a 4wd or ATV to visit the beaches along the cape highway or will a regular car suffice?
@camselle2 жыл бұрын
A regular car will do but make sure you have Full Coverage. I had a cheap rental and just got charged an extra $236 for nicks and scratches on the Windshield.

Did you encounter any jellyfish? I snorkeled off of the Lovers Beach a few days ago and it was tough because jellyfish are everywhere and it made it kind of scary and not relaxing!
@laura-bronner3 жыл бұрын
I haven't seen any jellyfish just yet, but I've heard they do like to hang out around Cabo (especially Chileno and Medano at the moment).

Another great video. Thank you for sharing your experiences in BCS. Just got back from visit to Cabo and keep finding new adventures to enjoy. Cabo Pulmo is on the list for sure. If you do have 4 wheel drive what is the name of the road that hugs the coast line?

It's still called the East Cape Road, just follow the road from Buzzards and you'll be on it! Thanks for taking the time to comment, so glad you enjoy the videos!

I would absolutely love to stay in Cabo Pulmo next time I'm in the area but I don't drive. Does anyone know if it's possible to go there by bus?
@laura-bronner3 жыл бұрын
You could take a tour from San Jose del Cabo. There are a few companies that pick you up in the morning and take you there for the day. Alternatively you could hire a driver. However, there’s definitely no bus.

Looks ideal for a short visit but £50 a night! That's more expensive than Europe
@laura-bronner3 жыл бұрын
You can get something a block from the ocean in Europe for less than $50 a night? For sure there are deals to be had in Europe (it's a huge continent after all with lots of economies), but yea in general this is the price here in Baja California Sur, even in these small towns (or perhaps ESPECIALLY in these small towns).

Are there any dive schools in Baja Sur?
@bobadams55653 жыл бұрын
There are a few. I recommend The Dive Station, based in Cabo Pulmo, Run by my friends Otto and Tamara. They both speak good English.
