Granpa Joe worked at the factory. It was shut down because secrets were being stolen. When it re-opened it re-opened without the towns people. It is after the shut down that the Oompa Loompas were brought in. Thus, Grant’s character would have called on his fellow Oompas after Wonka was betrayed and lost faith in people. Perhaps we find out that a child he helped like did with noodle was actually bad and betrayed him and sold his secrets? 🤔

Hey I listened to a radio one interview a week ago with Matthew Bayton and Simon Farnaby and if it wasn’t obvious Matthew and Simon helped the composers write the lyrics for scrub scrub and sweet tooth and after watching the movie they seem so much like HH songs just thought you’d like to know

@@FraserOliver yea I was listening to radio one on my way to work and it just made me laugh and also thought you might like to know a tad bit of misinformation about the 1971 Willie wonka the man that is seen to be slugworth is revealed at the end to not actually be slugworth just an employee of wonka slugworth’s identity in 1971 Willy wonka is still unknown
