people don't seem to understand why the show writer added the ecchi. It was not fan service. The writers were acknowledging how stupid and ridiculous ecchi can be in anime and used it intentionally make the show more ridiculous and therefor more funny. Food Wars would be so much more boring without the light nudity paired with people dressed up as food. The ridiculousness of clothes exploding due to food is why the show is so funny

​@yaniscombes7461 Did you watch the show? Even parts of the show had men lose their clothes due to the same reason? I do agree it can bring that agenda across if misunderstood. However, this is a show that doesn't do that and in fact does ecchi to both the men and women to bring a lighter and more comedic side to the anime.

@@Silverstorm1997 I didn't feel that way, men were less likely to be undressed and to moan in pleasure than women, and if so considered as jokes, while moaning women were more straightforward about their ecchi purpose. I just felt it that way.

@@yaniscombes7461 watch the show without thinking the Ecchi I is the plot it is a comedic aspect and while a core part of the show’s comedy the whole show isn’t based off of those ecchi scenes

It took a few times to get used to the ecchi running gag (there was tentacle h****i before the 1st title sequence for crying out loud!) but once I did I absolutely loved this show. It's really great.

Honestly this show was amazing the hype, and story telling is so well done I couldn't believe it. A lot of anime struggle to keep the show running for more then 2 seasons but Food Wars continued to be enjoyable to watch even after 5 seasons I was never once bored while watching and the way the characters interact with each other is really entertaining to watch overall I loved this show.
