This is logically and hydrologically impossible. Black Sea was and is of two distinct water layers: it is super salty (and largely dead) at the bottom half, and brackish water on the top. They do not mix. Now, no matter how low the sea levels were, this regime had governed due to the tiny/narrow connection with the world open seas. But this whole thing has become yet another cult thing and no use debating the reality
@ibunjaku

When the sea level was raised after glaciation and the strait Dardanelles opened, the black lake filled and continues still in one way filling with sea water of Mediterranean, for cosecuence, water vaporise and the salt stay. But in Thracian mythology and collective memory of peoples surrounding, the tales of it was once a big big lake and the gigantic waterfall filled with sea water ... still exists, bible story ...

@@ibunjaku What kind of water was in there (in the Black Sea) before it lost contact with the open seas? Salt water, of course. So where do you think that sea of salty water went? Come on, try to be logical. But if you like to use relgion, then that would be fine, because the Bible also believe Earth is at the center of the universe and there is no evolution, but only creation,

@@TWOCOWS1yes there are two layers, but the salty water is not below the fresh-ish water because it was there first. It’s on the bottom for the same reason everything else is typically below something else-because it is heavier. . There is fresh water continually flowing into the Black Sea just like there is salt water. That is why it is able to maintain separate layers

Yes, it definitely is an excellent documentary on the subject. I searched for the documentary they mentioned, called, "Akra: The Crimean Atlantis" by Science TV but was unable to find it. I assume it is produced by the same studio that produced this documentary, OAO Наука, which translates as "Science". If you've seen it, please share where it can be found. Also if you have a collection of science docs about the Black Sea, please share the links to them here in the comments for people to enjoy. Thanks!

Most of humanity traditionally has lived within 100 km of a large body of water. The sea levels around the world were over 100 meters lower than they are today. The sunken continental shelves about every continent were inhabited, because that was where the food was back then. Most archaeology is performed on those fringe people groups, the ones living in what was then the poorer areas, because they are the ones whose settlements did not go under the waves when the sea levels rose. Also, many techniques and much knowledge was lost during this time, as disruption and forced migration always causes the deaths of knowledgable elders and entire familes with specialized skills.

*5508 BCE is the year of The Flood.* This year is known as *YEAR ONE* in the traditions of Byzantine Empire / Christian Orthodox countries even today. That's why you find historical documents from Antiquity , Middle Age, Modern Era with this system of counting years. For example, 2024 is Year 7532 "since the flood".. and with September 1st 2024 we are in Year 7533 "since the Flood". _________ *The Two Phases of PIE (Proto-Indo-Europeans) migrations, caused by the 5508 Black Sea Flood.* *You must understand that all the legends, myths, religions of Europe, Asia, and North-Africa from the last 7500 years are originated in the CDP - Carpatho-Danubiano-Pontic space (mostly of today Romania, at the Danube Gorge, and around Danube Delta).* That means there are 3 things ("keys" if you like) easily able to explain this: 1 - "The Gods / Goddesses" are in fact a Single Dynasty of local CDP rulers before, during and after the 5508 BCE Black Sea Flood; 2 - "The Tribes" of "Angels and Devils" and so on, are in fact local CDP tribes, who were involved in the demographic conflicts cause by the Black Sea Flood 5508 BCE, in the name of "their gods" / rulers. Their "tribe" names still exist today in Romania. 3 - "The Holy Lands" are in fact the CDP regions - of mostly Romania (we even have the ancient, unchanged "mythological" names of them today!.. after 75 centuries.) _________ Phase 1 - the *5508 BCE Black Sea Flood from local CDP regions (Romania mostly)* was the reason for the migrations of PIE in all parts of Europe (and even into Asia), thus abruptly starting what is known today as The European Neolithical Revolution Era; some of them went thru South, into Anatolia. Phase 2 - the *3115 BCE Global Climatic Event known as "Piora Oscillation"* was the reason for more migrations of "Indo-Europeans" into Asia, and entering even into North-Africa, thus abruptly starting what is known today as The Bronze Age. One of the most famous migrations is the so-called "The Kurganic Migration" (wrongfuly considered Phase 1), which was basically (at least for Europe)... _"the returning home of the prodigal children of Yamnaya"._ We must understand that the European ancestors of Yamnaya are the ones responsible for the PIE religions, inspite of mixing thru the process of ethnogenesys with others (for example, between 4000 BCE - 3115 BCE they have settled in the northern parths of the Black Sea - all the way to the Caspian Sea... and becoming the pre-Yamnaya / Yamnaya culture . But this Kurganic Migration didn't just "returned" back home into Europe, towards West, but went further into Asia, towards East... and also going thru the Caucasus Mountains thru South. This is how these PIE religions (of the CDP original ancestors from around 5508 BCE Romania) were able to "conquer" all Asia too. Regarding North-Africa, there is no surprise that The First Dynasty of Ancient Egypt also appeared around 3100 BCE, and being connected with south of Anatolia. __________ Conclusion: In simple terms, the *"Old Europe Cultures" from Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary, Ukraine, and Republic of Moldova... prior, during, and after 5508 BCE are the original source of "PIE" (name that should be changed into "Proto-Euro-Asian") languages and people. This is PIE's "Ground Zero"*

Both hypnosis work with slight modifications... When Ice Age ended, Caspian Sea filled first and overflowed into Black Sea Basin which was fresh water at the time. Sea levels did rise but much slower than the rapid rise of Caspian Sea from Localized glacial melt water. Glaciers that fed fresh water into Caspian finished melting before the North and South Pole Ice Caps did. Those continued to melt and the rising Sea Levels eventually reached their present day shorelines. When Mediterranean and Sea of Marmara which have always been Saltwater rose high enough, they overflowed into Black Sea at the Bosporus Strait. The Strait was always there and no earthquake or 200 Niagara Waterfalls necessary to fill Black Sea with Saltwater once again. Millions of years ago all were underwater in a shallow saltwater sea including Black Sea. As continents shifted, present day Black and Caspian Seas were uplifted. They became freshwater drainage basins. The Caspian remains freshwater while the Black Sea was flooded by rising ocean sea levels at end of last Ice Age and became a saltwater body of water. Caspian 'Sea' should be called 'Caspian Lake' because it has no connection with the ocean. It was named 'Sea' by the ancients due to it's size. Black Sea is connected to the ocean via Bosporus Strait. At one time it could have been called the 'Black Lake' when it was cutoff and freshwater.

Perhaps you should do some research on the Scabbard lens of Oregon and Washington to understand that when are ice age was coming to an end there were great ice Lakes all over North America and when they broke open Mass amounts of water were let out and it's really easy to tell whether the water was at a slow trickle or surging. And it's easy to tell that water was not slowly trickling into the Mediterranean or the Caspian.

During and after the time of Noahs flood, the entire surface of the planet was changed. To me, this answers all these questions about the Black sea, and many other natural features on our planet, such as how the Grand canyon was formed.
@JohnSmall314
@JohnSmall314 2 ай бұрын
"During and after the time of Noahs flood, the entire surface of the planet was changed." In the 1700's and 1800's people set out to prove Noah's flood by examining the geological evidence. They ended up proving that it couldn't have happened the way it was described in the bible because too many things just didn't make sense. So they had to abandon the idea of a universal flood, which was a big deal at the time. It's such a big deal that many people today refuse to accept that a global flood didn't happen. There was no Noah's flood, the entire surface of the planet was not changed in a single event. This was proved bit by bit in the 1800's. Read 'The map that changed the world' and 'Dinosaur Hunters', about how people realised the bible is wrong even though they set out to prove it was correct.

@brucebrosnahan1425
@brucebrosnahan1425 2 ай бұрын
@odisy64 Two events may be confused here: (1) The origin of the massive silt layers (now rock) laid down evenly and directly one upon another, and more or less simultaneously in one great event (a great flood), with no evidence of weathering (streams, etc.), vegetation, forests, etc., in between the layers. (2) The later formation of the Grand Canyon, cut through the high (8,000 feet) terrain and those massive layers of silt-become-rock, which has been explained by the escape of a known great inland body of water (sea or lake) through a fault line (from an earthquake?) through that high terrain, and which then in a rapid and powerful catastrophe of swirling water ripped open a path for itself through the rock layers within that high terrain, creating the present Canyon. The present river-flow lacks the power to create the Canyon, and its jaggedness and lack of rounding and smoothing by the elements indicates its formation by a sudden great catastrophe perhaps thousands (not millions) of years ago. Further, the debris from the catastrophic formation of the Canyon is spread out over a vast area directly below the end of Grand Canyon, in fact, over three States below the Canyon. For this reason, the Colorado River flowing through the Canyon does not have a significant delta where it exits into the Gulf of Mexico (cf. the great delta of the Mississippi River). If the Canyon had been formed slowly over eons, the river would have carried the silt downstream and formed a great delta at its mouth. On the contrary, the vast fan of debris directly below where the Canyon ends indicates that its formation was rapid and catastrophic. Some years ago, when I was viewing the Grand Canyon from a fenced promontory jutting out into it, I remarked to some-one nearby on the sharpness of the cliffs and features of the Canyon and the modest amount of debris below the cliffs despite the constant freezing and heating of the rock cliffs at their high altitude. He introduced himself as a British geologist, and he agreed with the observations I made to him - that its formation appeared to be catastrophic and that its sharp features and modest debris below the cliffs indicated that its formation was relatively recent in geological history (not millions of years ago).

It is interesting that an English-language channel took over a documentary from a Slavic country about the Black Sea regarding only its current characteristics and which explains the causes of the presence of practically two waters with a different composition (hydrogen sulphide) superimposed in it. However, they mentioned in passing the presence of ancient civilizations when the Slavs did not populate the territories of the known countries of Slavic origin on the shores of the Black Sea and the presence of ancient buildings covered by its water today, without referring to the research that says about the presence of Atlantis (of to Atlas in the Pleiades), apart from the biblical Flood, in the middle of the fresh water lake that was once in the valley that has now become the Black Sea, as R. Ballard and Vasile Droj, and the hydrogen sulphide comes from the decomposition in the water of the abundant vegetation in Atlantis. Anyway, there is no mention here of the island of the Serpents, or in mythology the White Mountain at the top of which there was once a temple and which is the place where Achilles was born. And other proofs of the existence of the advanced civilization of Atlantis here, which can explain, for example, the construction of some tunnels that cross this Sea and which seem to have escaped these researchers.

So, I realize this idea is waaay out there, but since it does appear to have been a global flood, the ice age ending would not equate to a flood... sea levels rising is different than rain. I find it interesting that... 1. Scientists really struggle to explain the presence of the moon. Even the collision with Theia has serious problems. Not the least of which is geologists can't find a trace of Theia on Earth OR the moon. 2. Isolated tribes have knowledge of star systems they should have no way of knowing (i.e. alpha centauri being a 3 star system). 3. These same tribes, as well as other histories talk about the moon being towed across the sky causing many things, but 3 in particular: first, the tides. Prior to, the oceans were very calm. Second, women menstruating on a monthly schedule and third (most importantly) the earth had much more water in the atmosphere... as in way more. So much, in fact, that the sun was said to be a blurry, defuse spot in the sky. Towing a giant body (i.e. the moon) into orbit would have caused all 3 of these effects, which again, I would not expect an isolated tribe to have knowledge of. Would you expect an isolated tribe to ascribe menstruation and tides to the moon? I wouldn't. Moreover, it's interesting that this time frame of 13,500 years ago matches almost perfectly with the alleged appearance of the Drako's, which fits well with the snake in the Bible, the apple of knowledge and the change of the earth from a jungle (garden) paradise to what we see today. To be clear, I'm not a "Bible is science" guy, but as a historical account trying to explain a past event via allegory, I can consider. It also nearly tidies up problems about humans like why we get sun burns so easily... like, how were we built for this planet but can't handle the sun? Anyways, I know the idea is far fetched. I just find it interesting it would account for a global flood despite there currently not being enough water in the weather system to create one, as well as solving some other complicated problems and matching the history that we are left with.

The Earth has experienced five major Ice Ages: 1. Upper Archaean; 2. Lower Proterozoic, from 2.4 to 2.1 Ga (300my); 3. Upper Proterozoic, from 715 to 643 my (72my); 4. Permo-Carboniferous, from 360 to 260 my (100my); 5. The current Quaternary Period starting some 2.6 million years ago. The current Ice Age is characterized by lengthy periods of glaciation punctuated by much shorter, warm inter-glacial periods such as the one that Earth is currently experiencing. The last four glaciations have lasted roughly 100,000 years and the last four interglacials have lasted approximately 10,000 years. The current interglacial started some 10,000 years ago.

Had the natural dam not been breached, the location could have hosted the largest power plant in the world, by far. One can imagine that if natural breach was inevitable that controlled flooding could be seen as preferable. Perhaps someone with an engineering background could quickly determine how many gigawatts powercould be generated from a hydraulic head of 100 meters and a volume of 50km2 per day? I am sure it would be at least enough electricity to fully supply both North and South America, perhaps enough for much more.

" that's why they are finding megalithic structures under the oceans everywhere." Oceans were much lower because water was locked up in glaciers during the cold part of the present Ice Age. Most of the ice melted when climate changed into the warm phase of the Ice Age, called an 'interglacial' . So there was a rapid rise in sea level, much like today. But it wasn't due to Noah's flood, it was due to ice melting at the end of the most recent cold phase in the current Ice Age roughly 11,500 years ago.

Depends where one looks. More ice near the poles, more mass attracting water, meaning higher seas there. That mass melt, not only more liquid water, but also not the mass attacking water. Seas there lower. That water redistrubutes. Raiseing sea rveks elsewhere. The belt where we find he flood stories.

There is some speculation that a catastrophic celestial event caused the Younger Dryas; setting off the current interglacial part of this end of an Ice Age. Its thought to have impacted in central Michigan where the Laurentian Ice sheet was several miles thick. It also caused the great floods of North West North America around the Columbian River Basin, IIRC.

Thank you for being so informative! Ice age and the wild tectonics happen at the same time every 12.000 years. Like We can see in the current catastrophic weather cycle. Heinrich event happens every 6000 years. Approximately. (The Great year 25.800 years is divided into four seasons, makes 6.450, and 12.900 years cycles Heinrich event) We are all the descendants of the survivors. I like to say, for I am a self-preserving natural intelligence: Blessing Perfection! And I've just Read on wiki that Deucalion's wife Pyrrha's name means "flame-colored, orange" So the tectonics and flood and H2S and methane from the fissure burn. And apperantly H2S thermal vents could be the source of bigger life-forms in the underground caves, but it's a question how tectonically safe they were and flood proof, for people to refuge during the catastrophic weather. I Edited

The Great Year is 25 772 years. In Antiquity it was believed to be of 25 920 years, because it was considered that 1 degree of precession needs exactly 72 years (aka 72 "virgins") of Earth rotation around the Sun. Thus 72 x 360 = 25 920. But in reality, is less than 72 years per degree. This discrepancy of 148 years between 25920 and 25 772 was corrected by Dionysius Exiguus (lived in my own birth city of "Tomis" - Constanta, in Dobrogea - back then was "Scytia Minor" - region of SE Romania, at the Black Sea western shore)... in the first half of the 6th century AD. In fact, he is responsable for the "AD" - Anno Domini. Basically... Anno Domini (Year 1 AD) is the Year One for the Pisces - Christianity. If we divide the real The Great Year into the 12 zodiacal signs, each gets 2147 years and 8 months. So Pisces - Christianity ends in 2147 - 2148 AD ... followed by the Age of Aquarius (the so-called "New Age" in Freemasonery, an "atheist / degenerate age"). Before Pisces... from 2147 BCE until 1 AD, it was the Age of Ares (the Ram)... this is the reason why Jews are still using the Shofar (ram's horn), and why Jesus Christ was called "The Lamb of God" but also "Fisherman of... Men". And before 2147-2148 BCE it was the Taurus, the Age of the Bull (see Ancient Egypt's Apis - The Bull) ... the reason why Moses destroyed the Golden Calf and replaced it with the Shofar.... ..and so on... every 2147 -2148 years we cross into another Zodiacal sign.. of religions. What this has to do with the Black Sea Flood from 5508 BCE (which also created a flood of "Okeanos Potamos" - lakes from Pannonian Basin - thru Danube Gorge)? Nothing... with the exception that "The God" who ruled in "Romania" at that time is known today as the rain / thunder/ lighting God of Christianiy, Allah of Islam, YHWH of Judaism... is the same as Zeus, Jupiter... and so on. and mythologically... this "God" is blamed for The Flood.

@@pandakicker1 I watch a ton of non-English stuff and while a lot of times you don't need to know what a particular bit of text says. Every bit of it adds context at the very least. E.g. the name of a bar a character enters. But when talking about documentary style stuff, the text is part and parcel of the style. Putting just the audio in English without doing anything to the screen text is literally less than a halfassed job. It is 1/3 of the job. Tertiassed if you will :D. But at least it isn't in Latin. Whenever I see Latin on screen, I start reading it and trying to figure out what it means. Since the actual glyphs used are basically the same as in English.
