How is the take down? I want to try this, but I'm worried my natural hair might tangle or matte with it. Since you are wrapping it as the same length of your hair, you cant really cut it can you? Or when you wrap ot this way, you can still leave enough to snip the end and it unravels easy? I hope my comment makes sense 🤣

'Imma put it right back in my weave drawer.' 🤣🤣🤣 I've never heard of anyone dedicating a drawer to hair. Great idea! That baby hair is to die for!! Quick tips: -When I get a good amount of new growth & don't have the time or energy to re-do my locs, I just oil my scalp & wrap some leftover hair starting at the roots. -Add some loc jewelry for an extra sexy, edgy, bohemian, afrocentric look. You're welcome. 😊

Ok, i have to come on here and comment. Sooo i dont really know how to do hair other than twist my natural hair, which is how i normally wear it. I tried this style and did it as winnie explained and yall it came out soooo nice!! I cant believe i did faux locs on myself lol. I am so happy! I am never going to pay someone to do this style on me again! I did wrap the braiding hair tighter as i plan on lesving this in for at least a month. Some of the ends did unravel so i just put some small rubber bands on there for now. But its all good, i saved time and alot of money! Also, i had to redo a few, so the take down process isnt bad at all, something i was worried about. All you have to do is loosen the hair at the root and loosen the rest of the loc, i twisted it in the opposite direction, and once both parts are throughly loosened, the loc slides right out! Hope this helps! Thank you winnie for this style. You are a great teacher 😊

@shataviareed6522
@shataviareed6522 Жыл бұрын
@@MoveLabrina I recommend installing them the way she does in the video. I didn’t do that with colors different from my own hair. When I followed t video, the extensions would slowly slide down and I couldn’t blend it with my natural hair. So I would crochet them in. Don’t crochet them in!! It’s easy to take them out if you follow the video. To take them out, I grab the roots and shimmy the extensions down my real locs. The extensions slide right out.

I used a a color 27 to be specific and it looks good still! i’ve been getting compliments everyday. 😅 i really wasn’t meticulous in my process i was just trying to get done the fastest so the back looks as my mom put it “questionable” buttttt she did immediately compliment my hair as soon as i walked in the door so that’s all i’m going to focus on. i have pretty thick hair so i use 2 pack and i bundle and some from a third. but i also did them a little to big. so it say for someone who winged it i did a pretty good job thanks to this tutorial. so ladies you got this !

Girl, when i say i have absolutely no level of experience when it comes to putting weave in my hair. I mean i have 0 clue. I always style my hair in two stranded twist or wear my twist out. If i ever get it jn faux locs or braided i go to a stylist. I want to learn how to do faux locs on my own because i am big on learning how to do and make things myself. That includes styling my hair. I was very intimidated to learn how to do faux loc because the techniques looks very tedious and complicated. Im not tryna spend 12 hours trying to do a style because idk what im doing, i dont have that kind if time lol. But this, this i can do! This video gives me hope!! Thank you so much!! Def going to try this! Looks amazing. I can’t use any gel or edge control on my scalp bc of seborrheic dermatitis so this really gives me hope! And I’m loving the beauty supply store series !

All I can say is AMAZING JOB!!! Your tutorials are awesome! I love how simple yet detailed they are and so very beginner friendly and non complicated. I'm new to faux locs and have only recently purchased preloooed faux locs for crochet. I've not used them as yet, but came across your channel while looking for a tutorial on how to do layered locs. I'm so glad I did! I do my own hair, watching your tutorials has not only made me believe in myself and realize I can do this too but they have also made me fall in love with faux locs. Thank you so much! I will definitely be trying these styles out on my own hair after I've used the crochet faux locs I purchased of course. I mean I did pay for them. 🤣😆 ❤️

I’m currently installing mines using this technique. Has some hair left over from some kinky twist . It gets easier on the 3 rd loc … I’m loving them so far

Can you use old braids to achieve this look?

I love this look. So I tried it. Got the exact same hair used the same technique and it just didn’t work for me 😩my locs slid right out (after twisting around the base really tight 5 times) and my twist hair was not this full & fluffy. Had my locs looking so skinny. I just don’t understand what I did wrong but I wanna try this style so bad 😢

If anyone wants neater parts I recommend braiding down like five times and then twisting the rest. Time saver and the style stays neater longer :)
