You can also fold your natural hair upward so that you don’t have to wrap it so far down. It also helps as well if you have long hair but want shorter locs

what do you mean? I tried this but ran out of loc hair to wrap my braid. the 18" was not long enough to wrap band hid my braid so I really would love to know how to "fold my natural hair upward so I don't have to wrap so far down."

@@kpossum8537 she means to crochet your hair shorter. So put the crochet hook through ya regular braid and grab the end of ya hair and maybe wrap the end a couple times and then close the latch and pull...I can find a video so you can have visual help if you’d like

@@allthingsmandy2632 I haven’t received the hair yet. I just had a medical setback in August 2020 and been unsuccessful in finding someone to install for me since my stroke. I do know how to do all the different styles of braids with extensions but my right side is still a bit numb. But I’m determined to install the way you have even if I have to myself. I will get these locs in. Even if it’s eventually.

Great video! I do have one thing to say though, you have a note saying not to retwist real locs with gel, however, if you wash your hair often enough, gel is fine because it is water soluble and can be washed out with relative ease. It can still cause build up if not washed out soon enough or properly however, so stick to a regular washing schedule. Beeswax is the real danger. NEVER retwist real locs with beeswax. It will always cause buildup because it will not wash out. It will stay in your locs gathering dirt and dust and your locs will become heavy.

I watched your video before I installed mine because of how great they look on you. My issue is how much they tangle and cling together, at this point mine have almost matted. Other KZbinrs have had some issues too, but yours don't appear anywhere as clingy.

They do tend you cling together a bit, I normally separate them and keep them from matting by running my fingers through them to remove the loose hairs every so often 💕

I love your video and your locs! It's my first time doing them. I have a question though. How do I straighten them after installation? Like they are wavy out of the box and when I put them in my hair, they're still wavy. Does it take time for it to become straight or is there a faster way? Please and thank you.

Thank you so much! So overtime they will straighten out naturally but I’ve also noticed if you wet them, that will also take away the wave but they will elongate after being wet. Also note, that your real hair will become frizzy after wetting them. So what I normally do after washing my hair is twist my root like how I did in the video (after applying my leave in conditioner etc) and put a duck bill clip to hold it in place to allow the twist to set to get rid of some of the frizz. I hope this helps! 💕

Hi, Mandy - Your locs are gorgeous and I bought the Freetress Bo locs because of how natural it looks. I'm here in the Caribbean and am finding it hard to find a loctitian who does the 'no wrap' method you demonstrated.
