Teuton's were always my go to against the computer, put 10 archers in each tower, let them run into it over and over until i had 60 maxed out Teutonic Knights that would slowly march over and shred.

Finally the legend of Alneryus! I was the uncanny guy in the chat! This guy has also taken Sitaux and Capoch to post imp, and been victorious against 2k with his 30 max apm. We're 1750+ players struggling to take games off him for reference.

I think it is a bot account that has been specifically tuned to play empire wars and teutons. That's the only explanation for the ridiculous amount of games as well as for being this good with monks.

I stand by Teutons are the most underrated civ. They are basically setup to allow you to force your opponent to go insane with micro or get crushed. You can flood trash units like nobodies business. I've played a game where I was able to keep three players at the same time constantly busy defending and I all I did was give groups of trash units attack move orders. I ended up winning that game without building any gold units other than trebs. I was able to keep 10 barracks and 10 archery ranges fully queued at all times.

I played the bloke a couple times when he was around 1200 RM ELO, 200 below me. He beat me almost everytime. Not only he plays Teutons only. He always, always opened two archery ranges, flooded archers and then adapted. I knew what is coming but lost almost everytime. I would say 10k games doing the same thing kinda polishes the strat 11.

Teutons were my first favorite civ when I got the original aoe2. They're still fun to play now because their bonuses are such massive quality of life enhancers. The cheap farms make booming so easy, conversion resistance drastically helps eliminate knights' main weakness, free murder holes stops a lot of shenanigans, and herbal medicine lets you heal armies of paladins very efficiently allowing you to keep an army alive until enemy runs out of gold in post imp. They have a big weakness vs archers but they're still fun

I played 91 games against the guy (Frequent opponents on aoe insights). I know him sooo well, he is truely unique. He has the most resilience of any player i have met, its like you cant discribe it, how??!! . He also changes his opening tactics quite frequently, its either full archers or full scouts, and he kinda alternates between them, so if you played him 5 times in a row, its always a gues on what he is going to do!

Unrelated to the video but is there a way/mod to have the game look like captureage while playing and not viewing? I really prefer the UI of captureage and find it much clearer than what I've got with the basic aoe ui.
