I did a straight razor walkthrough of NV but since I went 70% of the game without one, (I didn't know you got a free one at the start) I allowed myself to use Figaro. It's really good, especially since it's a holdout weapon.

Also, no idea if this has been previously mentioned but, I noticed there’s a unique dialogue for Boone when you exit the Hoover Dam Visitor Center during the quest “You’ll know it when it happens” He makes a comment regarding where he would position himself if it was him attempting the assassination.

Everyone knows this. He and veronica are the two most popular companions and the likelyhood they havent tried to kill u by that stage in the game if youre legion affiliated is close to zero so everyone whos done a non legion playthru probably heard that dialogue on their first or second playthru.

I always grab this thing with the same trick I figured out for Big Boomer. Shoot the thing out of his hand, then quickly put away your weapons. I love that method so much.

That's how I get the Maria challenge done for killing Benny with his own gun. So many people forget you can shoot the gun, by why would you when HEAD HEAD HEAD right? I only remember that Disarm trick because I used that with the Gary 23 Glitch for FO3's Operation Anchorage. Crazy unique weapons.

If the player wipes out the omertas in the gamora casino, having the Kings replace them to oversee the casino would have been an great option... Same for all freeside factions, having the followers turn the ultra lux into a hospital would have been cool 2

To get him to fix your hair, I believe when the King does one favor for you, you have to join them and he will fix your hair. Doesn't matter tho, since Figaro>>>>>Changing your hair

@@comfyjayce Oh, right. You can skip that completely by going a slightly different route up to New Vegas. The game doesn't care about your methods, just that you found Benny in the end. I've only ever been really into Boulder City on my first playthrough, when I explored everything.

The only other melee weapon thats even more rare in my opinion is the humble cudgel

Big Boomer IMHO. I remember the Cudgel more. Plenty of players are hesitant to kill a nice NPC, unless you are playing a VERY evil playthrough. Even then, those players are hesitant to kill a VENDOR NPC. You can also end the questline of the Kings by being hostile to them as a valid option, so killing and discovering Figaro is totally a thing minus bugs. I also think that there is no valid reason to kill Old Lady Gibson, and come on, OLD LADY Gibson. Who's going to randomly kill an old lady? You have to pickpocket her twice. First for the ammo, then for the shotgun once you've left the area and come back if you don't want to kill her. So the chances of a player naturally finding Big Boomer is extremely low unless you somehow noticed the tiny tiny text on the shotgun that looks like a shotgun.

@@DamienDarkside I've played new Vegas for I don't even know how many hours in total, and I have NEVER used the humble cudgel. On a seperate note, old lady Gibson is one of very few NPC's in the game who will repair your gear, and keep your caps in her inventory. So let's say spend 15k caps on repairs, at any point you can just kill her and get your caps back. Knight at the Mojave outpost the the BOS safehouse gaurd also has this feature. I once went back to kill Old Lady Gibson towards the end of a playthrough and she had nearly 90,000 caps in her inventory

I experienced that bug on 360, and others in Fo3 and Skyrim. They prevented me from getting all the Achievements. I had 2 or 3 in Fo3 left. And in Skyrim in was the Daedric quests. Still salty. 😭

Hey mantis not sure if you've covered these but In fallout 4 on the outside of the mass fusion containment shed you can jump on a corner where you'll see a dead raider with a drifter outfit with a dead synth kneeling down in front of him I think it's a movie reference of sorts Also I found this recently but if you walk from greater mass blood clinic towards toddlers green inbertween on a kinda cliff overseeing a bridge is a truck with a rocket on it connected to a terminal which allows you to activate the rocket.

What's also overlooked is that Figaro's VA is also VA of BEN 10! It's very distracting especially after you learn how many other NPC's he voiced in NV, including Legion recruits, imagine Ben 10 working for Caesar 😅

You can get it without killing him, but it's a complicated process of reverse pickpocketing a different weapon onto him, damaging Figaro until it's broken so he switched weapons, and then putting away your weapon. If done correctly, he'll stop attacking. Now, Figaro is unequipped, and has a value of 0 caps, so you can *easily* pickpocket it from him. Then you repair Figaro with common straight razors.

100% sure I've never met Sergio, and I've only ever been a pc player. But then I remember the day 1 bugs and instability, a lot of which have never been fixed so it's probably still a regular bug on pc as well as consoles for Sergio to never spawn

It's Joshua Graham's unique melee weapon that only he gets. You can only get it through console commands. Kind of like how Boone has his own sniper rifle you'll never have access to.

I'll be honest, I shave with a straight razor and they aren't as sharp as TV will have you believe. Yeah you might get a little nick if you're not concentrating but it's not really weapon worthy. It's nice that it wasn't a God tier weapon just like in real life.
