Fun Fact: deerclops's hitbox doesnt cover his feet like very other enemy in terraria, so you can treat it similarly to Dont Starve, and kite his attacks by going through his legs. You WILL still bounce off if you shield dash into him, but if you have hermes boots, and dash from far enough away so as to not bounce, you can loop him and constantly attack without getting hit! Hope this helps someone!

using non weapons to fight bosses is so underrated. like the destroyers worst enemy is dynamite. not the dedalus storm bow, not nimbus cloud, not vial shard, it's dynamite thrown on his starting possition when spawning hitting all segments at the same time with armor piercing 250 damage. thats 2k damage per dynamite in the best case by the way deerclops has no hitbox at all beneath him. you can just walk under him and he has no means of attacking you directly so all you need to do is to react when he does another attack and go the other way he is facing
@valeriomastroeni845415 сағат бұрын

You are inspiring me to get started with the technical side of terraria, I am so glad that I found this series. Anyway, my point for commenting is that there is a better method than the mug method to hold a mouse button. Hold the button down, and then unplug your mouse before letting go. Learned this before I got carpet bots for my minecraft world lol.

Actually there is one interesting thing I found out about the ocean biome while I was playing calamity (so I'm not sure if it's vanilla as well but I don't see a reason why it shouldn't be) so I'll try to describe it, maybe it could help with some sort of farm design idk. So mobs can only spawn offscreen right? Actually that is wrong (somewhat). When you go all the way to the edge of the map, your screen is no longer centered on your character but the game still thinks it is. So when you go to the edge, mobs can literally spawn in the middle of your screen where the edge would normally be, if the camera was centered on the character you wouldn't be able to see the mob spawns but this way you can see the mobs pop up there. I have absolutely no clue what this could be used for, maybe if you want to see your farm actively working or smth but I thought I'll drop it here since it could be utilised somehow in these series. Also I would assume that could work in hell as well as long as you're on the edge of the map but yea that's all. Hope someone will find any use for it, maybe in like farm testing to be able to see if the farm is doing what its supposed to. I found out about this only because I built a ship on the ocean so most of the ocean is considered a village so I was getting no mob spawns unless I was literally on the edge of the map while I was farming sharks lol.

honestly you really just have to spend a lot of time obsessing over tiny details and trying out all of the blocks you have available to see how they can be used. Try committing to specific themes (npc occupation, etc.) and use reference images of things both in and outside of the game.

You can use npcs in the actual space biome to guarantee you only get critter spawns, and then take advantage of the fact that space has a higher spawn rate in order to get more spawns than usual. Also the mappy deerclops table cheese would've been much better than the bnnuy strat and it wouldn't be a recycled strategy
