Sarah I agree with you on the youth to the people cleaner. I’m oily skin but it was so stripping I had to throw it in the trash. At least I didn’t pay for it. It was a mini gift with a Sephora purchase.

Hope you, Cameraman and the dogs are all well. Everyone's health journey is different and is nobody's business. You do not have to explain yourself or even answer those type of questions. I have been trying to just purchase products that work, that I like and are easy to afford. Many blessings!!!💖💖💖

I love TLC glycolic serum from DE. I have very sensitive reactive skin prone to breakouts in record time. I tried other exfoliants much cheaper or expensive and I had bad reactions and/or they were ineffective. This one is a gel formula, fragrance free, no nasty ingredients, right PH and a good amount of AHA/BHA. It’s the only product I use from DE and I will never change with something else. I am interested in 3 particular serums from Allies of Skin: Tranexamic serum, GF serum and Cooper tripeptide serum. Because they are expensive I wanted to read other people experience before buying but I found zero honest reviews about them excepting very few advertising in exchange of free PR. These days it’s all about korean skincare, dupes, drugstore skincare and the one and only anti aging product: retinol. But it’s a category of people who can’t tolerate retinol and can spend a bit more for skincare. It seems like nobody cares about them because the cheapest products reviews attract much more subscribers/views. I guess the trial and error is the only way to go for people like me.

I loved YTTP when I was oily. Not now that I’m more normal and on Tret. I used to love the Sunday Riley vitamin c serum but glad I am it spending so much money now. Love you Geek & Gorgeous!

It's not expensive, but I don't get the hype over the Essence mascaras. Every one of them smudges and flakes on me. There are other drugstore mascaras that work better.

I won't purchase from brands that use fragrance or essential oils in their products. It seems like there's a lot of brands that are way over hyped. It's almost like your paying for the name and not the actual product. I will say I really like PC Vitamin C15 Booster. They reformulated it so it now has a longer shelf life ( 18 months unopened ) I actually got mine for free with an order. PC might be on the pricey but they do have great sales.

I hate that YTTP cleanser. Hate it. They do have other products I enjoy though. I really love the Biossance amino Acids cleanser, the Sulwhasoo foaming cleanser has been my holy grail cleanser for years..I'm always looking for less expensive good cleansers and it's hard to find ones I really enjoy

Happy Friday! Sorry, I've been MIA from the comment. This is DebbieLJ BTW, I had to change my name for personal reasons. I've been getting ready for 40th HS reunion. I'm so far behind I'll never catch up! I think most skincare is overhyped with social media. Whoever pays influencers, well their product goes viral. It's nonsense. Rant over😁Have a beautiful weekend, everyone 🌤💗💗💗

Same here. I have oily skin and live in humid hot climate, bot YTTP is very drying to me with unpleasant smell of bath cleaning product. Plus - heavy glass bottle on my sink - who wants that? I can’t understand the hype whatsoever.

For a while they were advertising themselves as a "small brand that makes products in smaller batches" but now that they have been sold to a huge company the hype just isn't there anymore.

I wonder about the effectiveness of Undereye patches (to reduce puffiness and dark coloring, they say). Hope springs eternal and I keep trying different brands. Using them makes me feel as though I am trying to do something about the problem. It's pleasanter to use than applying iced spoons or ice cubes (wrapped in cloth) and I figure a little extra TLC can't hurt. Can anyone share "homerun" products for undereye -- if they exist?
@NOBSBeautyАй бұрын
Undereyes are one of the toughest areas to treat, especially dark circles and puffiness. I've tried a few and usually they give me positive results for the first couple of hours afterwards but no benefits long term. I think the best ones I've tried so far are the Good Molecules Yerba Mate Eye Serum and The Ordinary Caffeine Solution.
@reenakazmann9183Ай бұрын
@@NOBSBeauty Thanks. I haven't gotten around to them yet but will find some! But I thought they fit into the category of this day's virtual essay. Yet, the market is swimming in choices! Some are pricey, too! Buyer, beware!!

After looking up your Vitamin C serum reviews, I realized I have a skin care routine and don’t try new products too much. After having a Skinceuticals bottle go bs k in two weeks.. I am looking for something most cost effective. I liked the Alina oil but it had dye in it… Eewww
@Storm411zАй бұрын
She’d recommend the Geek&Gorgeous vitamin C serum! Very similar to Skinceuticals, but they manufacture their serum weekly so you’re always getting a fresh batch! Plus it’s a MUCH more reasonable price 😊 You can find many videos on her channel about it!

I love lanolips! It's the only thing that has kept my lips from chapping. But for people who also like it, it's way way cheaper to buy lanolin cream and just use that. I got some empty lip gloss tubes and put some of the lanolin into those. But I do like the tinted lanolips for when I want a bit of tint.

It slightly bugs me that every time, except for once!, when I watch a new video by Shereen Idress she always mentions and hypes her own products. It gets to the point where I think it's kind of tacky to keep mentioning your products in your videos. ps I wouldn't gain weight, you look good now.

I am not a fan. She said I have "Dandruff of the face" and recommended a dandruff shampoo that burns your eyes, so strong. There is a cream with the same active ingredient. She is obnoxious.

My husband and I did keto for a few months, and the same person kept asking me if I was on Ozempic....it was honestly so annoying because even though I don't need to explain, I would have told him if I was. Even though it's none of his business!😊

@Storm411zАй бұрын
The Neogen High-R Exosome cream is too light imo. Ingredients are great, but as someone who struggles with dehydration, I find myself struggling to use this one as it lacks emollience with its gel-cream texture. The Olehenriksen (while I agree I wish there was a fragrance free version) is more of a balmy texture and really hugs in all my hydrating layers (I use it as a night cream). Sidebar: I hate this ozempic trend-come on people, YOU CAN’T JUST ASK EVERY STRANGER ON THE INTERNET IF THEY’RE ON OZEMPIC. Like you’re literally asking for privileged medical information from a complete stranger. It’s just fat-phobia repackaged. Go outside and touch some grass 🌷☀️ *steps down from soapbox* Anyway, thank you Sarah for the video 😊

Kale and green tea, spinach for face? Sounds kind of weird. Maybe eat it? :P Most of these brands are way overpriced. I'd love for you to give your opinion on hair care products, e.g. stupid Moroccan oil. Its just silicone (dimethicone, etc) and not much more, like all of the oil serums. The only ones I like are CPR (jojoba one and inca oil one). They still have silicone in them but are lighter and maybe helpful? Not sure, I thought silicone just coated your hair, didn't penetrate it? BTW, I hope you get your thyroid issue sorted out, I have known a couple of people who ended up on Thyroxine for thyroid issues. Can't say if its long-lasting help or not. In regard to Lanolips, I'd just use lanolin (pure) as it works well for me. Just pure lanolin. The CeraVe moisturiser is just meh, its okay, but I think its not moisturing enough now that I'm in my 50s. As an aside, when I incorporated serums or ampoules, etc into my skin care, my skin developed perioral dermatitis. I think I had too many unnecessary products in my regimen and I've gone back to plain old moisturiser.

Paula’s Choice used to be a great, well formulated, affordable brand. I used it for years. Then she sold it. The quality went down, the prices went up and they have way too many products that just aren’t worth it. It’s a shame. I totally agree with the CereVe opinion too. My skin hates it. 🩷
