It's the Mygalomorph Atracidae, not a Tarantula, better but , Atrax Sutherlandi is beautiful, simply beautiful , All 36 are awesome , red half one chillersea and red red as carapace , it's the most stunning Aracnid on the planet , they are gorgeous

I also find the Blondi overrated. At least objectively speaking Theraphosa Apophysis is way less common/more rare in nature, is less documented and also reaches bigger leg span than Blondi. More common and leg span wise shorter... So what is all the hype about Blondi? It should be living under the shadow of the Apophysis. Apophysis also doesn't looks as boring as Blondi or Stirmi... The typical "big brown spider" it has a lot pink hair everywhere, many different color variations and other features as hooks(males) or overall a more slender build. Sorry but I am German, and we do not really count weight as a factor for being "big" or "tall" xD Only size as in leg span matters to me and Apophysis has the longest out of the three Theraphosa. Also I heard Apophysis actually can compete with the giant huntsman spider regarding leg span. Which would theoretically make it the ultimate biggest spider in the world, as it combine both features of the Blondi and the Giant Huntsman Spider. Would be funny, if the Apophysis turns out to be its own species. Why is Apophysis less talked about in the community?...

I’m in South Africa, and in the hobby here, Blondi and stirmi are not bred enough and there are not many around, and by looking at them Vs other spiders, I feel at their price tag, are they worth it? however Apophysis is more available strangely enough in our country You are spot on regarding legspan size. I understand apophysis to get up to around 28cm DLS, but I haven’t seen one that size yet. My female in the video is just pushing close on 20cm, and am waiting patiently for her next molt. I find the other big tarantulas just as rewarding like lasiodora, giant white knee, the Brazilian giant blonde and also some Pamphobeteus species. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
