I think he's blinking during the travel time of the spike, then using the regular nova to make the spike do more damage

What casued y such issues with arcane mage ? I mean, frost in general is better for PvP than arcane, was it because it was with heal or what ? Not that I would do it better hah, just generally asking ;)

Spam dispell./ spell steal. alters are useless etc

Arcane can counter pretty much every defensive that make mages "tanky" in pvp. That's because Arcane can spellsteal forever, but Frost and Fire can't. They basically couldn't alter time, barriers were stolen in one second, and playing against a priest they also couldn't ice block when they needed because of mass dispel. So yeah, that was their worst counter comp for sure.
