You're just stuck on the mindset of, 'I need to suppress,' notice how you get more kills when you took it slow and single/double tapped, but then you keep going back to 3-5 shots per guy which is inefficient.

It's crazy that it's actually still at least usable even in its semi broken state. You just have to double check and watch for that full mag icon to be sure it's loaded.

It's back. Resort is never really gone. What's really tragically dead is supremacy servers, which is unfortunate because supremacy plays much better than Territories in this game. Edit: they're back too based.

The sights are good if the enemy is stationary but are absoulte garbage against a moving target. SKS is a much better rifle imo

It’s interesting how divisive the MAS is. I personally love it and while the sights certainly aren’t great I don’t mind them too much. I can totally see why they could be a dealbreaker to some people though

I think my guess would be that the best use of the SKS-45 is for keeping a weapon fully topped up at all times. You have a crapton of spare clips, so reloading whenever you expend 4 or more rounds will always keep you topped up and never left with a magazine with less than 8 rounds available at any given time. In other words, it's good for players who suck at ammo management. You count to 10 shots and you're out, you never have to consider how many rounds are left in a mag you're putting away that may cause problems in the future, and it's a very simple weapon to use in general. However, all if this is null if you're actually good at managing your ammunition, so the Type 56 and AKM are straight upgrades lol.

A big compliment to how this game was made is how almost all the weapons are 100% usable in their own way. There's no filler or things just in there to get you to grind up to something better

I love the SKS. I find it incredibly satisfying to use, but it does depend on the map. You gotta slow down your playstyle just a bit.

I always liked the SKS when I don't manage to grab sniper, I find tbe iron sights very accurate even at 250 meters, also got my furthest unscoped headshot with it at 340 meters 😅

I just reinstalled RS2V today on a newer better laptop after I had a War Thunder related incident on my older slower laptop, but what I found in my stats was that the SKS made up 24% of my ~340 kills (not a lot considering I have a 0.34 KD). God do I miss dying to napalm right off of spawn and shooting suspiciously helmet shaped rocks out of panic.

I only use the SKS to role play as Furiosa from Mad Max; also, VC's M1 Carbine is great because it masks your shots from southern forces, to an extent

M1 or M2 carbine on semi with the large mags is great for using the guns as plinkers since they have minimal recoil and lets you spam mouse1 accurately, i pick it a lot more than AK

SKS is tits. Really makes you think out engagements and encourages hit and run tactics. When I play RPG I use it to get my hands on an M16 which also tricks enemies nearby when you shoot.

The NLF is my favourite faction because of Mas and Mosin, but the PAVN faction I don't like to play as because they only get AK and SKS, the RP-46 is good though

it's absolute dogshit in this game, and i sometimes still use it for historical purposes as it was the 2nd most common weapon in North Vietnamese hands. the reload animation makes the gun irredeemable, and i ALWAYS wait until its fully done, you know it's finished when the full ammo indicator pops up on your screen.
