If I’m ordering or eating out my all time favorite is the “House Special “. Chicken pork egg and shrimp. If I make it myself I’ll use one or all, whatever I have maybe only veggies and eggs

My favorite Chinese restaurant's offering of fried rice in a combination meal resembles nothing like fried rice a person can make at home. The add-ins are sparse and chopped very fine. Home made is superior! Your fried rice recipes are always successful for me, thank you for sharing them. You save us all so much money too!

FLO.....Fun fact......cooling rice overnight and then reheating it INCRESES the resistant starch (a good thing) and REDUCES the insulin response (another good thing) - so fried rice is healthy! There's scientific papers written on this topic and the same benefits happen for other cooked and cooled starches like potatoes and pasta - even if they are then reheated. I love fried rice and your version looks DELICIOUS - lovely chunky bits plus those prawns sure beat the mass of rice with a few treasures dotting the landscape which is the norm for a lot of places. Cheers from Oz!!

This depends on the rate at which you chill them. Bacteria love warm starchy grainy environments.

@@quantumbacon My comment was about the health benefits of cooling and reheating carbs - like rice - but the same applies to pasta and potatoes. Safe food handling is a different topic.

@@quantumbacon Your comment is ridiculous and absurd. By your logic, as long as you correctly handle a frankenfood, manufactured from God knows what processed shit and chemicals, it's still healthy. Safe food handling and healthy food are two separate issues.
@quantumbacon2 ай бұрын
@@andersonomo597 To prevent food poisoning from bacteria in rice, you can: Refrigerate quickly: Cool cooked rice in the fridge as soon as possible, ideally within an hour. Don't store at room temperature: Don't leave cooked rice at room temperature for long periods of time.

One of my favorite types of fried rice is Lamb Fried Rice, from an Islamic Chinese Restaurant! However, when I'm at any Asian restaurant, I have my family pick out every piece of Cilantro from any dish that has it! I can taste even the smallest, vile stem of Cilantro! LOL!
