Your amazing bro...i love the combat aikido style you work with...dojo training is great but I totally agree in a street situation not terribly practical...i wish more sensi would teach both types...the traditional form then teach a practical form...your brilliant man...wish I had the opportunity to train with you ...i love aikido always have...keep up the awesome work and videos....one love

Sankyo is one effective technique. You can also throw someone from sankyo in such a manner that it might be fatal to the attacker.

On a technical level, and in terms of "libraries of techniques", Aikido got the old school Jujutsu techniques that were practical in terms of retention of freedom and unarmed self defense suitable for being ready (not locked down fighting) for dealing multiple opponents, while Judo and BJJ got the sport-effective and one-on-one oriented techniques, like sacrifice throws and groundwork which are dangerous when you don't know for sure how many opponents you are dealing with.

Trained Yoshinkan Aikido for about 10 years. Nidan, graded in Japan by Shioda Kancho. You do good, realistic techniques. Only thing I would say is your Tenchi Nage looks more like an Irimi Nage to my eyes. And the Hije Shimi really looks more like a conventional hammerlock. Each to his own, not criticizing, just interesting choice of terminology.
