@@MetroidPurples by its own anarchy wins ofc, however lets take an example with a specific setup (lets say starfire warlock), if you pair witherhoard and an autoloading rl you will get more dps with that than anarchy paired with anything else

Havent watched yet, can definetly tell you it will always have a place in my loadout even as a courtesy. Took me through so much in destiny and absolutely loved every time i shot it... also shoutout to bungie making such a good ornament for it that its now considered the canon look of anarchy in the community lol

It is honestly weird looking back cause I just remembered that when you’d start a new character you’d have to play through the red war and be started from ground zero and climb your way up to the 600s to do the forges which was torture

I beg to differ when it comes to saying that gally was the best ever exotic in the game. Its reign in D1 was not very long where as the Anarchy was around for a very very long time. Anarchy Honestly deserves that title IMO.

I got anarchy from my first ever raid clear with an LFG group, I didn’t know what it was when it first dropped, but as I slowly used it, it became the only heavy weapon I used.

I remember my first clear/Anarchy get. We had this "friend" of ours quit after he bitched/moan about us being incompetent, all the while he wasn't lining himself up right for DPS. I lfg'ed a little bit after with a clan, and they helped me through the final boss, and one of them was currently up to 50+ clears and no Anarchy. Guy was super pissed to hear about mine drop that he left immediately. Good times.

Anarchy has always been a favorite of mine, but when I needed it in literally every encounter and activity, I grew a little bored of it. Now it is in the perfect position imo (though a 5% dmg buff would be cool)

The #1 thing that made anarchy so crazy strong was the fact of how ammo efficient it was for a massive total damage output. 2 shots did comparable damage to 1k and you had I believe 31 shots with double reserves. Sure its standard use is just adding 20k dps to what ever you're doing, but I always found its value in solo content against champions, which it is still incredibly good at. Stick the champ, stun it, and watch it fry with the ability to do it to like 15 other champs after without ever picking up a heavy brick.

Ghally may have been amazing, I think most of us can agree that Anarchy took that spot, but imo, it’s not that good anymore since they nerfed the ammo and damage. And I absolutely loved season five, so I’ve kept a etched eververse engram from season five on my warlock and I still have it.

Ghorn and Anarchy are powerful in their own right, while ghorn was once just reliant on its damage, it got that and that and the ability to boost other rocket launchers. While Anarchy is almost a heavy version of witherhoard where you can instead of firing a ball of gloop you stick em with zappy mines which is really fun… but I don’t think anarchy is as viable as it once was, but could definitely make its return again some day.

I still remember the day. Got tired of being a solo person. Joined a clan, got a few new friends to play with. And they ran me through "Scourge of the Past" for the first time ever. And my RNG was at 110%. Got both the exotic sparrow and the raid exotic on the very first run. I was afraid to get the clan boot right there knowing some of the members of the clan had spent 200+ runs without getting Anarchy. I was so happy :D

It was the coolest exotic ever and rightfully the best. It’s good the meta changed since lost. I think it does and should get a big buff or a rework, like the more grenades you stick the more the dps ramps up after three grenades the damge could ramp up exponentially to compete with the best dos heavies. That way it won’t be crazy ammo efficient for bosses but also won’t hamper the add clear potential. Besides ghorn, whisper and soon the 1k rework and rockets and lfrs have brought a lot of competition so A buff to anarchy I think is fair, preferably damage

I don't think we will EVER see a meta dominance harder than Anarchy with breach and clear. It made any end-game content trivial. I would say a close second in terms of how fucking good of a weapon it is, would be witherhoard. In terms of utility as well as versatility with both ad clear and boss damage, I don't think anything beats witherhoard right now.

Anarchy is D2's most iconic exotic, and it was/still is the best, its the perfect package. Ultimate ad clear/crowd control, dps being out of control. I remember using Anarchy with Double Slugs on Taniks, and while many were getting at least a mil, I was putting up like 2.5 mil with it and I loved it.

It took me 22 clears to get this damn thing. Then I got one for each of the next 3 clears. But yeah, it's my favorite exotic weapon in the game. It's so flexible and powerful. I love it!

I was using anarchy on Caitl in the Duality dungeon the moment it was disabled by bungie. No matter what heavy I replaced it with it still looked like I was holding anarchy. Try hitting crits with a linear fusion when it has anarchy ADS reticle lol not easy. I had to restart destiny to fix the problem.

I'd say anarchy, ikelos smg, and literally any special kinetic weapon with warmind cells was the strongest build in the game since it worked in every activity. But definitely anarchy double slug was insane for bosses. I wish we could go back. To that meta. But season 14 was a great send off.
