The “dad advice” you guys give has opened my eyes more than any advice from my real dad, my football and wrestling coaches, or my sergeants in the Army. As a father, who works as an x-ray technologist 12+ hour shifts 3-5 days a week, the last episodes hit me hard. “The only people who will remember all your overtime is your kids.” I may have 100% VA compensation and a decent-paying job, but even myself being 29 times, are tough. Yet I realized my kids don’t have me around as often, and with a third on the way, I decided to change that. I may not have real money in the bank or a very popular KZbin channel with sponsors making me able to work my hours and afford all the nice guns and things I want, but I at least do what I can for my wife and kids. I know Garand Thumb most likely won't read this, but I want you and the guys to understand your content has helped me to step back and view my life and goals with just the dad's advice alone. Again, thank you guys for all the workand content. And from one vet to another, thank you for your service!

If you think about it. That 4 bore of his gives off 200lbs of felt recoil. If he wasn't as big of a guy and I don't mean that in a bad way, he's just taller than average and built. But anyone less than 200 lbs would have a hard time shooting that. A 3.5 inch 12gauge has 62 lbs. of felt recoil for reference. It's insane to really think about. Even crazier thing is I did some research on how much those 4 bores and ammo go for and I almost died on spot seeing those numbers.

Christ is Coming back for those of us that Belong to Him so much SOONER than any of us Think!!!!!. Christ is at the Door and at any moment will Rapture us outta here before all hell breaks loose, Get Saved Now while there is still time and while Christ may still be found, Accept Christ as Savior and BELIEVE on Him and what He did for YOU at the Cross. He paid our sin debt that we never could do that we could spend eternity with Him in Heaven, if you die in your sins not being saved you will be cast into the lake of fire ( hell ). It’s a place of torment and burning for eternity, It’s not worth it. You are Not too far Gone, Christ is waiting for You with open arms to come Home,if you were to die right now where will you spend eternity at? If the answer is not Heaven then Get Saved Right now before it’s too late. God Bless You all and Do Not Fear or Worry for God is in Full complete Control, Have Peace in Him and knowing he’s about to bring us home at any moment, keep looking up for our redemption draws near.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Christ Died for Our sins according to the Scriptures, He was Buried, and Rose Again on the Third Day According to the Scriptures.

Great stuff guys. Some of the best quotes so far: “Medically, you’re gonna start having problems right about here…” “Can we even show this on KZbin???” PSA, please don’t ever shoot a 500 magnum at a person or anywhere in a direction that there’s people. One thing that can be said for the 500 SW is that what would be considered good cover from 9 mm is only considered concealment from the 500. That thing will kill you through a cinder block wall. There's also the added bonus of the sound it makes will have the other guy looking for the tank that is shooting at him while he runs away as fast as he can.

500s are great, but I use a 460 when I've gone into bear country. 460s S&W mags pack almost as much of a punch but don't hurt like 500s to shoot. You can get hotter loads so they travel faster than the 500s too and they fire 454 casul and 45 LC. 500s are fun though.
@ccopeland71211 ай бұрын
John Ross (RIP), author of the absolutely EPIC gun-culture novel "Unintended Consequences", and who has his own limited edition run of S&W 500s (Google it if you dont believe me) was probably the first, and maybe the only, guy to ever consistently carry a 500 concealed. When S&W first released the 500 he had a gunsmith cut down TWO of them to snubby length (2", or maybe 3", I forget), and he carried that matched pair (BOTH of them at the same time!) in a Thunderwear holster. I have personally witnessed this, and held one of them in my own two hands. Later, he developed a handload for the 500 with a *700* gr flat nose solid bullet. I once shot one cylinder of some of his personal, HOT, handloads thru a 6" 500, and darn near broke my wrists (or at least it sure felt that way at the time). His philosophy was "carry the biggest gun that you can shoot effectively, and for him that was the S&W 500. Needless to say, anyone that would have been insane enough to endanger his life would have been obliterated like this ballistic dummy.

I love how on the first shot, right around the 3:55 mark, you see the bullet sail clean through the dummy, and kick up a huge dust/dirt cloud after impacting the berm, that round barely noticed hitting the body. Also, this video very clearly demonstrates what this handgun round was created to do, it's not a combat round, it's not a target round, it's not for recreational shooting, this was designed to be a freight train/wrecking ball. It's job is to hurl nearly one ounce, or heavier bullets, around 2000fps, to bring down the biggest, and potentially most dangerous critters that are posing danger to your person in the immediate vicinity

I loved that wholesome little bit at the end! I had to stop working so much overtime for that reason and also for my own sanity haha. Also, I think the recoil is probably worse on that Taurus compared to an actual full sized S&W .500 pistol with compensated barrel, because I have shot one before and the recoil wasn't that bad honestly. I think the Taurus is lighter, has a shorter barrel and doesn't have compensation cut outs on top of the barrel so that's why it's so rough to shoot. One last thought, a 10mm with proper full house loads is all you really need anyways, more than enough power to deal with dangerous game and bigger mag size plus less recoil.
