just to give you an idea of how massive a superstar destroyer was. the empire did not fear them falling into the hands of the rebellion because they figured that even if the rebellion did manage to somehow capture one they would not have the manpower to crew the thing.

They don't. The cloaking he mentioned is reserved solely for the Terror. A SSD with the cloaking tech needed to make the dreadnought invisible. However, it made the ship so expensive that the Terror was the only one to feature this unique trait.

Cloacking device ? I didnt know that... was always wondering if ships of that size can be cloaked...thats very useful for fighting against the rebel alliance sneak attacks stealth tracking and ambushes... also in regular conventional mass warfare... next i want a massive cloacking device on a Death Star :)

Some of the executor sister ship had cloaking device but it was very expensive.

I actually liked first order resurgent ISD design vs imperial 1 & 2 ones cos it was actually a good design functionally and had many of the features previous designs didnt.

personally even with the design flaws i like the isd 1 and 2 the most. reason being i feel like they manage to capture the empires ideology in its design. for example its bridge being super exposed towering above the rest of the ship symbolizes the hierarchical nature of the empire, the two shield bulbs being near the bridge symbolizes how the empire prioritizes the protection of its hire ups above all, the reactor at the bottom symbolizes the defense honestly i think all this was intentional because if you look at the mon cal ships design like the home one for example you will see the same trend. their bridge tower being alot lower and closer to the hull symbolizes more equality between the leadership and the rest of the crew, their focus on defense and the fact that their shields are alot more evenly spread symbolizes that they prioritize the defense of every one equally and that they prioritize things like defense and diplomacy over force and aggression. admittedly i dont know where the reactor on the home one is so no theory on that ones meaning however one thing i will note is though its hard to see in the movies the home one actually has multiple colors on its hull. it has whites, greys, reds, and even some blues. this obviously symbolizes the rebellions diversity.

I don't understand why it cost so much . Emperor Palpatine owned the galaxy , all of the resources and manpower belonged to him . The Senate had no teeth , The Emperor just had to kill any senator that questioned him ( because he owned them too . ) Lord Vader deserved a ship three times that big for bringing peace and security to his new empire .

You want to give people incentive to join the Rebellion because all your stuff is "generously donated" to some gigantic warship? I know slave labor's a big thing for the Empire, but taking _everything_ they always want can have a bad effect down the line.

The thing is, if you carefully examine the SSD ,you will see that the rear of the ship, it's so called "tail" could easily be either converted, or Kuat might have had this in mind, to dock an even LARGER "main body" to this arrowhead. A "shaft" so to speak. Now this is just speculation, but if this ship could dock to this massive body, it could have served as the hypothesized "Imperious" intergalactic SSD. A truly astonishing sight. At nearly 12 miles, it's already a city. With something like a Supremacy Class ship as it's secondary body, it would have been incomprehensible. Possibly 20 miles or more in length, with nearly 30 miles of width. It wouldn't be a city, it would be a planet.

You keep saying, "Executioner" in the video when referring to the "Executor" Egg-zec-you-tor. Not ex-eh-cue-shunner. Different words that mean different things. Sorry, hearing you call the ship and it's class the wrong thing over and over hurts my brain.

To be fair, he's saying Executor and not Executor. Ex-eh-cue-tor vs Ex-ek-u-tor. They're pronouncing the word executor like it's an executioner but they're not saying that word. Still very wrong and it bothered me more than it should. Executor - "a person or institution appointed by a testator to carry out the terms of their will." Executioner - "an official who carries out a sentence of death on a legally condemned person."

I got to say, one of my Favorite star ships in Star Wars is the Executor class. It’s just so big, and it’s symbolism of exercising power fits perfectly with the themes of Villainy. I have my Own Head Cannon, where all Star Ships exist in Cannon, even Legends ships. Anyways, their is this Fictional Faction I created. This faction is technically a Multiverse Faction, but most of this faction is divided between the universes they occupy. This faction is called the Top Hat Mercenary Confederation. And in the Star Wars universe, they have One Executor-class Super Star Destroyers named The Tyrant. And this ship serves as the Home Base, and Flagship for one of the 4 Top Hat Mercenary Leaders. The Other 3 command ships are a Vengeance-Class Super Star Destroyer named The Autocrat, a Praetor Mark II- class Battle Cruiser named The Raider, and a Subjugator-class Heavy Cruiser called The Whisperer. The Four Leaders of the Top Hat Mercenaries do generally bicker about how their mercenary business should be run, but all in all, they ensure that they keep the credits flowing into the continuous upkeep of their command ships, and their fleets.

The Eclipse was built at the same time as the Executor. It was Palpatine's personal flagship, and was sent to the Unknown Regions just before the Battle of Endor. After the Battle of Jakuu, Ray Sloane made it to the Unknown Regions and rendezvoused with the Eclipse. Learn your history dude.

pre-Disney, the Eclipse was sent to Byss as soon as it was finished and stayed there until Palpatine launched Operation Shadowhand. I wasn't aware they kept it in the new universe/continuity, especially when Rise of Skywalker went with "zillions of Star Destroyers that can crack planets open" instead
