Definitely read the Enemy Cards in the Collections, very useful info on what’s super effective on enemy types. For example, when a troll slams down their club and has that short pause where it feels like you should be able to do something, you can! Casting Flippendo on the troll will cause a big chunk of damage by flipping the club back into their face

Also for large spiders, when you see the Red Circle as they are going to do a lunge, if you cast Descendo the moment of their jump, their head burrows into the ground as a sort of stun effecft.

I didnt know that levioso would snap digging spiders in half that’s really useful info.Many thanks for this tip. I use no unforgivable curses this playthrough but have specced heavily into plants. I took out The Absconder in around 7 seconds with one throw of cabbages (so 2 cabbages with the doubling perk) and a single confringo hit. The plants are really underrated!

I built cabbages and on the hard difficulty after a troll two handed slam you can throw cabbages, flip hex and freeze, the troll usually dies in 1 shot The cabbages (if you throw 2 with the fertilizer trait) can do 16k+8k during that time for 24k damage in 1 clean counter. Build was focusing on counter, perfect counter, the aoe blast counter, and use plants and potions during big fights, it's quite safe for also doing high DPS.

The herbology trait and plant talents have a lot of bugs which is why it is so overpowered right now. The Herbology trait does 10 times more damage than intended (some developer added an extra zero), so you should always use that over fangs for maximum damage. Also, two of the plant talent buffs the damage of all plants, not just the one listed in the description, giving further unintended damage multipliers. For maximum damage you should always invest in all 3, even if you only want to use one of the plants. Even without the bugs it would be strong, but with them it is absolutely ridiculous. Likely will get patched at some point, but they might leave it around for a while since balance doesn’t matter so much in a single player game.

1. Levioso, Accio, Incendio, Bombarda (all spells have to be upgrded to hit multiple targets) 2. Flipendo, Decendo, Glacius, Diffindo (single target) 3. Imperio, Crucio, Expelliarmus, Avada Kedavra (all spell have to be upgraded / curse 3 targets, let Imperio curse enemies for you, than Avda on a uncursed mob, whole room clear)

Accio into glacius when u have leviosa upgrade on accio ,wait for a second than descendo them into 1000 frozen pieces is my favorite combo because it needs a bit of skill since descendo can miss in the first frame after enemy is being frozen in mid air and it just makes them flop on floor if used too early

Ive created a potioneer dark arts build. Cdr potions, attack potions(only for hard fights). Use your standard 3 DA's and a low cd beginner move. I like accio as it can become wingardium leviosa if you hold, and can cc. You always use accio off cd and spam autos between that. The talents make that lower cd. Hope this inspires some people.

And for any of your heavy moves, if you first hit every enemy with a curse type move and then have the curses perk then when you do the combo it would apply to all cursed enemies, clearing the field in seconds.

Crucio Mastery and AK Mastery can make short work of enemies. Since the four basic attacks on the Crucio target will mark 4 other enemies and then AK kills all 5.

I got one you didn't talk about, drop a Venomous Tentacula on the ground hit the foes with leviosa (using the dark magic ability that curses them when you hit them with leviosa) then pull enemies into the Venomous Tentacula, the damage numbers are off the hook. I think I figured that one out at like lvl.6 on hard mode before i could even apply the curse... and i was regularly popped off 1200+ damage in moments. the trick is Venomous Tentacula are hyper rare in the early game, and most foes big foes at that point in it are essentially immune to leviosa and the pulling spell so i sort of stopped using the combo (stopped using all plant based attacks) no clue if that combo works well in endgame but i remember being blown away by the damage early on, always figured if i could get my hands on a regular source of Venomous Tentacula i'd try to make that combo work in the end game. not there yet but i think it has potential.

Best combo Crucio + Transfiguration it's the most evil combo too. Another funny one is Transfiguration + Wingadian leviosa raise them as high as you can and let go instant kill.

One of the first side quests that has you do spells on that training dummy in a certain order (crossed wands maybe?)....but yeah that led me to believe that you could "juggle" enemies for a while with certain spells, NOT WATCHING B/C OF SPOILERS, BUT GIVING YOU A THUMBS UP, AND IM SUBSCRIBED THANKS FOR THE HARD WORK! You can also use Flipendo on the troll’s club after they use the slam (yellow circle attack) to bash their face in with their own club.

Another very "cheesy" super high damage strat: you can use wingardium leviosa to pick up environmental objects and "waggle" them around into enemies to continuously deal physics damage to them (ignoring shields even), and you can also lift things up super high to drop on enemies and deal a few thousand damage as well.

A small spell combo I recommend is flippendo, descendo, arresto momentum. It deals some good damage and makes the enemy vulnerable to whatever followup you want to do, and even gives you time to plan out your next move. Not game breaking but a nice QoL

Instead or Arresto momentum use glacius and follow up with Diffendo to do some massive damage.

@@jjmmm515 it was a mechanic that allowed you to cast spells in quick succession in elden ring. Some ppl called it tech and some people saw it as broken. Although it was annoying for Incantations, It made the game really fun for pure sorcery casters and added a whole layer of complexity when it came to PVP. Alas, ppl complained about it and they took it away -__-

What i tend to use for every cave or situation where spiders or inferi are crawling around is mastered accio in combination with a equip enhanced mastered incendio. Grabbing multiple enemies at once and seeing them burn is a really joyful feeling... Should i look for professional help for myself ?

The Dugbog tounge diffindo is not guaranteed 1 shot if they have higher lvl than you. Also you can use a force(purple) spell on them after they finish charging to flip them over.

Odd I've always gotten a one shot BUT I did not know about the force spell flipping them over. Did it once by accident and had no clue why I couldn't do it again. So basically, watch for charge, dodge then use force push?

Don’t forget the potion combos you can use too. Use edurus with focus and with maxima and you’ll be good to unleash damage over and over until it wears off

If you use a talent point you can keep your 4 spells from ever over heating. And you can use them as fast as you want. In fact in the second knight battle I used them so fast the I was knocking the knights off the platform on normal difficultly.

I have a build based around ancient throw that does massive damage. 2 talents you need are the the one that makes shapeshift turn enemies into explosives, and the one that let's you ancient throw disarmed weapons through expeliarmus (or however its spelled). The plus side of ancient throw is that you can completely stun lock any enemy aside from the Pensieve Guardian bosses

Btw another good way to put some serious damage on trolls is to Flippendo their club after the 2 unbreakable consecutive attacks followed by a defendable club smash. Then follow with glacio and diffindo and troll just puffs away.

I've been really liking my diamonds for different scenarios, like for most battles i'm running crucio, diffindo, descendo, & bombarda, for primarily poacher/loyalists i'll use transformation, depulso, confringo, & expelliarmus, my troll fights i have crucio, diffindo, glacius, & flippendo, and for the handful of times i think the mission calls for sneaky stuff/puzzle solving i use disillusionment, accio, imperio, & leviosa, usually changing disillusionment for any other spell that i need as the situation calls for it. i don't think imperio really gets the love it deserves for being the best at clearing an entire room if you just wanna sit back invisible and watch as the boss or troll you imperio'd just wipe the floor with their adds and you get arguably the easiest part of the fight

One of my favourite combos is Levioso, Accio, Incendio, and Diffindo. You basic cast 3 times, then Levioso, basic cast 3 times, then Accio, basic cast 1 time, then Incendio, basic cast 2 times, then Diffindo. If something survives that, then it’s pretty damn hurt.

Incendio actually does higher damage with glacius than anything else but it doesn’t have very much range

@@GenDrake3 there is no morality system in the game so why should i care tho? its actually a grave mistake if u choose not to learn the unforgivable curse since once u miss them u cannot get them back unless u restart ur progress it is the most fatal mistake u can make in the game more fatal than the ending choice that literally has no effect wheter u choose bad or good ending just differen scene thats all but the unforgivable curse to be miss is a blatanly stupif IMO

I'll help you my guy. Enemy weaknesses are your friend on hard mode. The example with the burrowing spiders and the dugbog are perfect showcases of what targeting an enemy's weakness can do. Disarm an executioner during their charge up to cause their magic to pop off in their face Repulso a duelist when they do their uninterruptible to make them hit an ally Using ancient magic to disarm a goblin ranger and return their crossbow bolt to them at high speed Using descendo on the REALLY big spiders any time their rear up their front legs (even when they summon other spiders) will interrupt their attack and slam them so hard into the ground it literally buries their head and they have to pull it back out. These sort of weaknesses can give you time to attack, pull back, or deal with other more pressing threats.
