Nice setup! I have those gorilla lifts on my backup 12x6 trailer, i only had to hookup one side though, with both hooked up it was too much tension.

They definitely help a ton! This gate is heavy as heck so it needed both. But most gates I’m sure only need one!

What income do you fall back on when you are not mowing every week because the turf does not need ro cut. Weather is a variable you cannot control no matter how many pieces of equipment you have.
@Gardslawns6 ай бұрын
@@mikeperry1620 great question, we are profitable enough through the season to maintain a separate business “oh crap” fund and we take advantage of the time to get equipment and vehicle maintenance done.

Is that a 10' trailer? Do you ever use push mower?
@Gardslawns Жыл бұрын
It’s a 12 foot trailer although a 10 footer would work. And yes I have one yard that pays a premium for that and I use it a bit on my property as well.

Go crush it man! If I had one thing I’d change I’d start with the 32” or 36” mower. The bigger one is great but can limit the yards you can service depending on what kind of gates you have in your area.
@jamesduffield8335 Жыл бұрын
Do you off load everything each evening or do you park the whole trailer inside somewhere?
@Gardslawns Жыл бұрын
Yep! Trailer gets parked close to the unit. But it’s secure and part of this situation. Eventually we will have a setup to pull inside and leave the truck loaded

It's a great set up if your not trimming shrubs daily. My business I trim almost everyday and haul away.... It's the best set up where your located not where I'm located. Should change the title to "Best lawn care set up in your city."
@Gardslawns Жыл бұрын
This set up could easily be switched to accommodate a hedge trimming situation like yours for a couple hundred more dollars. However it is mainly for lawn care not bed maintenance, I personally save a day and weekends for special projects and use this same truck and trailer combo for that.

@Gardslawns I use green touch v3 racks. What I meant is your trimmers are mounted in a strange way to the rack system itself. Never seen someone mount it this way
@E.L.C.2 жыл бұрын
Think filling gas on the rack. You can't because the way you mounted I can lol
@Gardslawns2 жыл бұрын
Ok I understand now, I actually have them this way so I can gas them up while still on the rack. If I had it turned 90° I’d have to do it from the trailer deck.

@@Gardslawnsahh okay it's a matter of direction. Mine on are passenger side, trimmer heads facing towards gate, so I can fill off the trailer on the ground

There is no way your doing 15 to 20 yards a day less u have two guys and your detail work is trash there is no way I run 3 guys and they can only do max 12 to 14 a day yards must be 5min in and out
@Gardslawns2 жыл бұрын
Nope, I have a target yard. Once you have been doing things a while it’s easy most yards take me around 12-18 mins. I have a couple larger ones here and there, but most of them are small. I usually don’t do 15-20 a day though I’m talking about dropping and lifting the gate up and down. That’s one thing that wears on you big time as the days and weeks go by.
