I have PTSD from the Amnytas meta... I actually dropped the Visage of Nourys, but I didnt know its value, I only thought "Ah, cool skin" and plopped it on myself! well, that was a waste of 1500g

I actually got Deathly avian shoulders (medium) like 2 weeks ago from a guaranteed armor unlock. I had no idea they were rare because I’ve only been playing gw2 for like a year.

I got real lucky with the Visage of the Khan-Ur. I got both it and the infusion in the same pull! It was nuts xD I sold the infusion, but gave the visage to my brother since he mainly has charr characters, and he always wanted the helm :} Editing to say that I remembered pulling one of those Deathly shoulder skins from the wardrobe unlock, but couldn't remember which one so I had to go in game to look lol. I Got the Deathly Bull's Pauldrons but the heavy armor version only :{

Treasure Mushroom aka TM, I call him Timmy, who is the wheelchair guy from South Park. In GW2 he becomes the TM, gaining legs n feet to walk with, but thats it. Once he dies as TM he returns back to South Park, being in his wheelchair once again.

The bounty hunter armor, or warbeast armors were absolutely brutal to unlock in pof, but i was lucky enough to get a few pieces of heritage armor from my brief time in gw1. I think it only took about 3 hours of playtime, but i need to go back, and finish the set.

I'm surprised the grinning tahkayun mask made the list and not the spec ops armor set. The spec ops set felt like I was grinding for legendaries, while the tahkayun I unlocked on accident.

To be honest... if you're into fracs and you fast run the rest ... i'm pretty sure you might be able to do the full spec ops Set in a day ... 1 1/2 days tops....

I guess the Maske made it in because it looks crappy and ppl dont want to get it because of that... which in turn makes it rare as it ain't unlocked so much

@@H.S.D.81 Each piece is worth about 115g worth of stuff... I'm sure some people can make 690g in 1 1/2 days but most can not. Which is why I rarely see people use this set along with the fact that it requires you to step foot in gyala delve yuck.

@@tyburkulosis8799 sure... that is why I said "you might be able" the average gamer might be able ... given some daily mats farming and selling of "non important to goals set by the player" .... to get it done in 1 or 1 1/2 days... Because the average player ... once they are at that point in the game ... might have more then enough mats in the bank/storage to get it done...

There was a time when I used to love wearing the Tribal Armour set because it was only available through early days pvp for people who made it up to wolf rank before the pvp rework, and then it became unobtainable for a good long while so if you had it it was pretty prestigious! But after a few years Anet added new ways to obtain the old pvp sets.

Maybe do the research needed to determine if maxed out, or increased magic find affects your chances of getting rare drops? I've been salvaging almost everything in the game for years and consuming all of the luck, so my magic find is over 250 now, and I've definitely noticed that I get better drops than my alt account does, which has very low magic find unlocked. Magic find seems to affect the tier of jewels that I get while mining nodes, plus it seems to affect my chances for upgrading items that are placed in the Mystic Forge, but I've never bothered to confirm if this is true, or just a false perception.

Grinning Tahkayun Mask is one of my favourites on my ranger and thief characters, it's really detailed and actually has a strap to keep it on your head, unlike literally every other face covering. I'm surprised the unlock % is so low. I have the Khan-Ur helm too and I used it on everything for ages to justify the cost, and, while it is by far the best charr helm, it gets a bit boring using the same skin all the time lol. The invisible boots skin is a bitch. The Khan-Ur helm unlocks all three weights when you unlock the skin, but the invisible boots is one weight only. You'd have to spend over 10k gold to go barefoot on light, medium and heavy characters...

Oh God, they only unlock one weight only ??? Been grinding for these since launch, have never seen them drop. Then again I've never had a high value infusion or transformation potion drop either.

I have some pieces of the Mistforged Glorious Hero's armor (the shiny one), from when i played pvp, and if i not mistaken its the same as the glorious hero armor (at least skin wise) 🤔

I dropped deathly shoulders (the skull version), the ghastly grinning shield and permanent bank contact from BL chests years ago. Never dropped a precursor tho :D

i would add the Adventurer's Mantle (combine the spectacles and the scarf skin) is a crafted skin, so not super rare but not that common :D

@@Drive_Far_Away You may know that already, but just trying to be helpful some how. Go to bank and clic on wardrobe tab, then filter the piece armor you would like to get. I can stay there for two hours looking for each of them 🤤🤤 They are ALL there. From Gem Store to WvW or PvP. Cheers!

The pvp armor is a skill issue. Both in pvp and in finding 4 other players to train with to actually win a tournament.
