I recently took up fishing with my wife and our son, another great way to spend time outdoors when we go camping and kayaking. Thanks to your techniques and a good bit of luck, we’ve been catching fish left and right! Last night we were getting largemouth out of a pond with a Ned rig cutr worm and a Texas rigged craw. Worked like a charm!

It touched the bank.. I just call that a quick release it counts. Went fishing with the kids down town in Sager Creek. didn't expect to catch even a cold with how hot it is but dang we got a lot of bluegills. I lost count around 20 something.. Most where small but one was hand sized!

Neds are great for numbers only reason I don't like them is they tend to catch smaller fish and I've had some big over five pound bass get off on them. But if I'm not throwing a big swimbait or a Texas rig it's probably a Ned or mushroom head. Neds are a go to for ponds and creeks.

I’d love to be able to fish the bottom. Where I fish you better know where that *bottom* is because if you land on it you’ll be breaking off 🤬 if bank fishing. . I tried a drop shot today I was snagged in 12 feet of water before I could real in some line. You’re right, fishing has been ridiculously slow this year. My garden is probably a month and a half ahead of normal season growing.
@RealisticFishing3 ай бұрын
Maybe a weedless rig like a texas rig would snag less on the bottom 👍

Works well but always feels so limiting unless its an ewg hook style. I can hardlly find any places in my area where the fish to grass/stick/rock ratio makes it worth it :/

All the ponds around me are completely choked with grass. And I dont mean snot grass... it's all "good" grass but every square inch of the ponds around in nothing but grass. Yesterday I took my kayak out and I threw out my 3/8 oz swim jig out and it literally just sat 2 inches below the surface.... it's unfishable..
