I think it's the most conservative court since the switch in time that saved nine.
@cyninbend
@cyninbend 2 жыл бұрын
It is the most conservative court ever. Citing witch trials, a ruling that allows states to force women to carry brain-dead fetuses until she develops sepsis or spontaneously aborts? Ready to overrule birth control rights, LGBTQ rights (kids finding their parents are no longer married? That's a weird one no one has tried to do b4!). Outlawing the Voting Rights Act and soon Affirmative Action (I was in school b4 AA--college was solid white. B4 AA, companies were solid white men in suits with female secretaries, no one of color. It was bizarre. AA changed all that. My boss hated me when I was forced upon him--but within a years, he loved me and said he was only hiring women from that point on. He did hire another woman. But then the director gave him a man for my promotion--I was supposed to train him to be the Specialist while I was stuck at entry level for 5 yrs. My resume was on the street and I was gone within a month or 2. There is now a female CEO of that company that did not have a salaried woman anywhere 50 yrs ago.) Power is conservative. It worked b4, why change? We need the govt to push us to do what is right. Ie, correct. This court has a Catholic Opus Dei theocracy planned for the US. They have told their faithful. Return women to the home to make babies. Jobs for white men who cannot compete.

The Bernie or Bust crowd had unintentionally caused the downward spiral of the Supreme Court in their reckless refusal to back Hillary Clinton when she got the presidential nomination in 2016 instead of Bernie Sanders. Heck, even Bernie did not approve of their actions as he was well aware of the dangers that Trump posed.
@markdalbey
@markdalbey 2 жыл бұрын
@@gorillaguerillaDK What I always say. Instead of actually doing something you blame the other side. You are not going to change the right by complaining about it or saying they should have done this or that. You can only change what you do. Democrats will not change this Supreme Court one little bit by complaining about it or calling them cretins. They can change it over time by voting though. Thomas is 74 and probably the next justice to go. Do you want a Democrat or Republican nominating his replacement? Do you want a Democratic or Republican Senate confirming his replacement. I suggest more Democrats vote to insure that they are Democrats doing the picking. Alito is 72. He is probably next after Thomas. If a Democrat nominates both of them you have a 5-4 Liberal majority on the Supreme Court. Do Democrats want to actually do something or do they want to complain about it. If more Democrats had voted in 2016 Clinton would have been elected, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barret would not be on the court, and Roe vs Wade would not have been overturned.

Nothing it’s our national motto and no it does not break the establishment clause, if you think it does you clearly don’t know what separation between church and state is, personally I can’t stand Andrew I think really all he does or mostly what he does is just complain about insignificant things that really have no impact on peoples lives whatsoever.
@Josiah_Cornett
@Josiah_Cornett 2 жыл бұрын
@@pleaseenteraname1103 you are wrong. It hasn’t been our national motto for all that long. It does break the establishment clause because it’s a statement that we, as a nation, put trust in god. It favors theism over atheism, and is a statement that the country is religious, when it’s not. If you think that all Andrew does is complain about things that don’t matter, all I can say is, you must be a Christian.. I can’t comprehend someone who is a minority in terms of religious affiliation, having that opinion.
@pleaseenteraname1103
@pleaseenteraname1103 2 жыл бұрын
@@Josiah_Cornett Yes but the term has existed for centuries, it’s become official motto until 1956, but it existed one before that and it was being used long before that as well. In God we trust does not break the establishment clause you clearly don’t understand what the first amendment sets out to do if you think it does, there is no specific establishment being established it’s an inclusive term in God we trust, God is being used in a more General sense it’s not referring to a specific God of any particular relief, the first amendment does not prevent Christianity or any other beliefs completely out of the public sphere, it’s meant to prevent religious tyranny and to guarantee religious freedom, and in God we trust because none of that, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with having in God we trust as a national motto and anybody tells you otherwise has absolutely no idea what separation between church and state is. Andrew is not as bad as Dan Barker but he’s still pretty bad. In my personal beliefs have absolutely nothing to do with this. Yes trying to get things like in God we trust removed from coins, and complaining when a baker expresses his constitutional right, he complains about pointless things like that that have zero effect on really anybody. And the first amendment prevents the government from being able to favor one religion over another and it’s laws.
